  5. Band in a Box on Engineer in a Box? · · Score: 1

I use Band in a Box 9, and it's great; but I real band is better in Oh so many ways. I would imagine the same of Engineer in a box. Such a thing could be very helpful for simple or repetative(?) designs, but when you get down to the serious stuff you need humans to make real progress.

You're kidding man. In what way are you entitled to remain anonymous when you queue a message into my inbox that I MUST PAY for and read in order to get at the subsequent messages that I actually want! Fuck that. SMS has just taken its death blow because as SPAM builds up, we'll just leave it in the inbox and stop using SMS altogether. Pity, because it's otherwise a really handy system.

  13. Elvis on The Day The Music Died: Windows Media and DRM · · Score: 2, Offtopic

  14. Onus on seller on Starving Nation Turns Down Bioengineered Corn · · Score: 1

If the owner of the corn sells it to Zimbabwe, and they can make some of it grow, then good luck to them. I don't see how you can expect to sell a product like that, and then expect to retain some kind of owdership of it. If the seller wants to prevent the buyer from replanting, the onus is on the seller to make it infertile... IMHO.
I'm sure people who still believe in patents will disagree. Tough.

That's what OpenGl is for; to keep the modeller and the runtime system away from the hardware, but still capitalise on its capabilities. Like a driver.
