The long route is to prove yourself and create a "brand" online. Chris Prillio really does not know much about computers yet a LOT of people look at him as if he is an expert. It's because he hand crafted a brand for himself that is bigger than he is and he keeps it polished.

Finally. You are "self taught"... do you REALLY know something or do you think you know something? can you configure Cisco routers, understand TCP/IP completely that If I tell you a network scope you can give me the netmask? do you understand computer hardware far FAR better than the idiots at Best buy's Geek squad? Can you actually do something with the OS other than install apps? How about Active directory and Windows domain management on workstations?

IF you are "handy with puters" you are not employable, go get more education. And all of that is free. You can download Windows server enterprise edition and SQL server and all the goodies for free and use it for 30 days. then wipe the computers or VM's running it and reinstall again to learn the ins and outs of doing corperate Windows IT. if you look in the "dirty corners" of the internet you can also find cisco gear simulators that will let you have hands on Cisco configuration as well.

But you are supposed to buy those for nasty prices... It's actually cheaper to buy out of date used cisco gear if you really must stay legal.

Honestly, the only reason I have a 1DS is for weddings, indoors for portraits. It's mostly for show so they are happy with spending $12,000 on photography.

if your camera cant take an in focus photo with decent color you will never produce a great photo. your first digital camera should not cost any less than $300.00 if you want to be able to learn to take better photos. That level of camera has almost no lag in pushing the shutter to when the photo takes compared to the $99.00 garbage that has nearly a 1/2 second lag and anything with ceramic lenses to make it super thin is garbage. Thin = bad as well. you need decent large glass on a camera so if the camera is less than 1.25 inches thick it's a toy not a camera. The primary lens element needs to be at LEAST 1 inch in diameter on a pocket camera. the tiny ones shoot crap.
Megapixels are nothing , the glass in front of it is everything.

Says the man that knows only a little about dogs.

There are breeds that you CAN NOT TRAIN to not leave the yard. For example, working dogs like collies. Collies want to herd cattle or sheep, Guess what, they want to herd cars and people as well. you cant train out of them when centuries of breeding has put into them. They are wired to chase things and herd them back to the homestead. your neighbors are lost sheep to these animals and they are doing their job.

So you either tie them out, put up a real fence, or get an electric one.

And no, I would not suggest anyone that is a city dweller to own a working dog breed. They belong on large farms where they can have their programmed distance.

Shock collars do not "wreak havoc" on the dog any more than a tall fence or being tied up does. Trying to curb the in bred traits is what does that. Buying a guard dog breed and trying to train them to not bark for example. if you want to be "good" for your dog, then move to a place wher eyou have 4-5 acres for them to run and patrol. City living for a dog is cruelty.
