    get rid of time zones but keep the 100% useless DST? what complete moron thought this one up?

    honestly, Daylight Savings time does NOTHING. we are not an agricultural country anymore so catering to a handfull of farmers is dumb.

    Get rid of DST first THEN we can look at the retarded idea of getting rid of time zones.

    No, all he wanted to do was steal cellphone service and other services. Mitnick was not some grand hacker, he at that time was simply a petty thief that had skills that others did not. He was after the next big score or what would give him something for nothing.

    Why does everyone paint him to be some kind of leader for freedom and the Hacking Society. Most of us that were in the scene at that time and before did not have much respect for him.

    He is not the Hacker Poster boy. He was treated unfairly in the courts and legal system.

    and no there isn't ask the military. They have already dealt with this. at NORAD each workstation has two PC's and you switch between a secure and a insecure. you as the user have ZERO physical access to the secure box, it's actually in a locked box bolted to the desk.

    If you use a commodity OS inside your secure network. you will get hacked and you will get it knocked over.

    If you have a high security network and run windows and office on it, it's not high security anymore.

    you run apps and Operating systems rated for the security that are tightened down. only a moron would let someone edit a spreadsheet on a PC that is connected to the secure network. You flip to the insecure network machine for tasks like that. No connections between them other than the eyeballs and fingers of the user.

    Professional tablets have been around for decades... where have you been?

    Dauphin DTR-1 was the very first, and was widely used in 1993 for mostly the FBI and insurance industry, doctors started using it.
    Fujitsu Stylistic is the absolute standard and has been for over 20 years now.
    Lenovo is so late to the party, they are pretty much a joke.

    Sorry, but a TABLET PC market has existed cince 1996. Fujitsu has been the KING of Tablet PC's for decades. in fact most hosptials have Fuj itsu Stylistics all ove rthe place.

    Sounds like you not only do not know what you are talking about, bot know nothing at all about Computing at all. the iPad is a dirt cheap iteration of what a lot of companies and professionals have been using for well over 20 years now.

    Stop being a grumpy old turd and go TRY ONE for a while. Honestly, I am 30X more productive than the guys at work that dont have one. I carry autocad files with me to review and show. I annotate pdf files etc...

    It's a tool, just because you cant figure out how to use a wrench does not make wrenches stupid.

    A proper and real diversity system can detect the angle of the radio to the receiver. A properly designed setup with 4 antennas can give a 0-360 degree direction of the radio it is contacting and a crude distance. this added information and watching radio traffic in the spectrum. I.E see a packet transmitted from radio 3 to radio 4 and then the same packet is transmitted to the base, flag it as mitm and contact radio 3 directly.

    It would make a $299 AP cost about $3400 but it could be effective.

    Yes it can. except that apple intentionally cripped reading from a USB hard drive or a thumb drive over 16gig in size.

    I also have it grab low res (720P) shots from the camera as I snap the photos by using a wifiSD card that has storage as well. Nothing like taking a set of photos at a session and grabbing the ipad to show the client/model instead of the 1" screen on the camera.

    Granted it's a story that was inserted into the old testament because it has nice entertainment value and the fact that it's a good "Behave or god will KILL YOU!" story to tell to children and illiterate people. But a large group of people actually believe that mankind would not corrupt a holy book for power and control. Very, Very Naive people they are.

    Never underestimate humanity's ability to corrupt something.
