    It is! the OSS version is available in the http://lame.sourceforge.net/ project on sourceforge.

    Honestly, a properly set up lame encoder can generate a MP3 that even a audiophile listening on his $89,000 speakers going through the virgin gold plated no oxygen directional speaker wires can hear the difference.

    I have some 320kbps VBR files made from a SACD rip of Supertramp Crime of the century that are absolutely incredible, they sound better than a standard CD of the same album.

    It takes less than $600.00 to put a property lien on a corporation for an outstanding debt. It's fast and get's a debt paid by a company fast as that causes the company a crapstorm of problems with their credit.

    The RIAA read the letter without having bought the letter. They are simply claiming it's value in lost revenue due to RIAA lawyers sharing it to others in their office. The receptionist read it, then a under lawyer read it, then a senior lawyer read it. That's illegal sharing!

    how about firing the lawyer, and then suing him for all potential lost revenue. I personally prefer public stockades where we can go and physically assult them with rotten fruit and a big paddle, but I'm an old fashioned guy.

    Um no, not unless you are looking at racing from 10 years ago or longer. Automatic transmissions DOMINATE drag racing right now. you get spooky consistant ET's running an Auto, plus you can get Auto transmission that handle far more HP than manuals.

    Also some of the more recent rallies in europe are being won with automatics in the car.

    Lots of the inefficient automatics are fairly good at efficiency. even my old th125 transmission in my 1986 Fiero will do a TCC lockup after 35mph to eliminate the losses in the transmission.

    efficiency is low when it's not locked, but 90% of the time when the car is moving it is. newer 6 speed automatics are even more efficient. I saw one that was getting better fuel economy than a 5 speed stick. the car can decide shift points better than a person can.

    No it wont. because the smartphone in a cradle is useless on a motorcycle, bicycle, hiking, I.E. everywhere outdoors wher the crappy non trans-reflective cellphone LCD's are barely readable.

    Youtube = watching on my laptop in low res (even their "hd" is low res.

    Netflix = 720p HD on my Big TV.

    it's no contest. Netflix wins. plus I can watch 60 movies for the price of 4 on Youtube.

    I stopped getting pizza delivered because the delivery guys are usually idiots and nearly destroy the pizza. That and most pizza places sell their caller ID logs to telemarketers. Dominoes Pizza is proud in selling their caller ID logs and customer database to marketing firms.

    Try that with a 15-30mph constant crosswind plus lots of sloped sideways streets. I have that here daily during riding months.

    Just my 35 years experience riding 50cc to 5700cc (Started on a Honda 50 at 5 years old, currently on a V8 Boss Hoss, soon to be adding a Yamaha FJR1300)

    Try some of the top heavy bikes, more than 1 deg off and you need strength to keep it up at a stop.

    get a 900+ pound motorcycle. you'll get a workout. My upper body hurts for the first month riding starts every year. when you are moving around that beast and at every stoplight you have to steady it you get a workout.

    then download the older version and get it back. they really did not make many improvements from the previous version.... All the DVD decryption is done with VLC, so keep upgrading that and handbrake 0.5 wil work forever giving you Xvid.

    And it sucks for theater playback. It's why I encode to H264 and AC3 passthrough. far better audio than using the crappy AAC.

    I use handbrake to make my own http://www.kaleidescape.com/products/ setup for a fraction of the cost using XBMC. I even have a automatic DVD ripper using Handbrake CLI and a bash script to watch the dvd drive on the content server.

    I tried ripping the audio to AAC, it destroys the movie sound in a real theater setup. AC3 passthrough preserves it completely.

    The same research was done in the UK for bicyclist and Motorcyclist visibility. someone on a phone was 70% more likely to not see them.

    the ones that kept a "keen picture" also missed the bicyclist in every test. am betting that you also would fail the same test.

    Only for the ones where they are looking for a body that there are a million candidates for.

    I decided to become an expert in a rare field that is exploding. (Crestron programming) So when I became unemployed and posted that fact on a crestron Mailing list, I had headhunters and 2 offers within 30 days for a new job.

    If you are a webdeveloper, IT grunt, Java programmer, or someone that is fairly common in an established field, you are nothing special unless you made a name for yourself or your references are stellar. If you have Steve Wozniak, or other famous name as a personal or professional reference they sit up and take notice. Or make your name known by being a part of a crapload of big OSS projects. If on your resume you list the projects they can grok and see you as a big part of they pay more attention and dont give the "another snot nosed java programmer" look to you and act like you need them.

    It's all about marketability. If you are in a field where there are 80,000 clones of you, they dont care.

    Finally, dont apply for a level 2 job and then ask for high end veteran pay. sorry but this kid was good but was not gonna get $60K like he said he "needed". $40K is the top and you better know what the pay scales are in your area for the job or we just laugh and say, "nope... NEXT!" You cant ask for 1999 wages. it's 2010 your pay has been cut drastically.

    That's a 23 mm recoilless auto canon - this will allow you to shoot more than one round against a possible target, and the recoilless part is good to keep the orientation of the satellite while you shoot.

    There is nothing recoil less about a recoil-less gun. Instead of a major jerk of energy you get a smoother push of energy. Every shot fired will change your trajectory.
