There is a large elder and republican base in Arizona that make up the majority of the voters. This demographic does not like law breakers, drug users, and illegal immigrants. Sheriff Joe Arpaio runs some of the "toughest" jails in the US and he is "hard on crime". The voters like that and could care less about what other people are complaining about.
Don't forget when ti came out you could not become a 7xGM because someoen would lgiht a campfire next to you and you'd gain a point in Camping and lose one of your GMs.
Letting you lock skills was one really nice change they made over the years.
There are more low skill then there are high skill people. The Game mechanics to protect "those mouse-potatoes" are there so that they continue to pay to play every month.
Intetesting. Living some places where I have the AC on everytime I get into the car, it does not make the prius sound too much better than a chevy cavalier.
Number one reason: Time. If it is ~30 min to Carpool, then what, ~20 min to go by yourself? ~20 or even ~30 is much better than ~70. Your losing at least 1 hour and 20 min a day in transit time.
Number two reason: Comfort. Relaxing in ones own car is well, more comfortable than riding a bike (or lightrail).
Number three reason: Freedom. Want to go somewhere after work? Ridign a bike limits what you can do and where you can go after work.
The basic concept was not that you had to be smart to play them. Just that Smart People who are not challenged at work, enjoy playing games that involve thinking. Both Chess & Civ involve different units and rules while games like Pac-Mac are more mindless entertainment.
I made my comment because the only proof we have right now is that they will be sold in more stores.
Now, assuming that the poster was right and MS tops them from selling Linux to be able to be sold in the MS store, they will still be sold in more stores than they were before. This is because they would obviously choose MS over linux. Hense, my comment.
Guess I did not spell it out clear enough in the first post. Hope this helps you:-)
The article makes refference to sellign a sperate line at Wal*Mart. The article talks about selling XYZ Brand Model EEE at Wal*mart when Brand XYZ is known for and sells Model DDD everywhere else. However, if you purchase XYZ Brand Model DDD Mower from Wal*Mart, it would be the same XYZ Brand Model DDD sold at tohers stores.
The Snapper lawn mowers that were sold at Wal*Mart for 3 years before they stopepd were at the same quality as the ones sold elsewhere.
The food will be half the price and half the quality.
I often see people talk about th elower quality of goods at Wal*Mart. Is there any research done to support this idea? Walking throguh the isles at Wal*Mart, you can find many of the sme brands that you woudl find at a small store that woudl sell those items. Example: Kraft cheese is sold at Wal*Mart and every other Grociery store. So what makes it less quality at Wal*Mart?
People complain because they do not like the limitations of DRM and vendor lock-in. However, they purchase it (or pirate it) because their desire to sue the product overide that of their disliek of the DRM and vendor lock-in. You limit yourself for something you beleive in, because your beleif has more value to you then that items. For others, the items have more value than their beleifs.
I would assume that Grandma Mildred is going to purchase them something for the gaming system that they have. Makes no use to get them the Wii or PS game if they only have a n XBox, no? Although, to be honest, it woudl not be the first time a Grandma has purchase a game for system that the Grandchild did not have.
Having played several MMOs, WoW seems like the least addictive imo. If you step away from wow for a week or two, you've not missed much. You're not behind the curve as in keeping your status in game. However, in other games, missing a day could set you behind others and feel disastrous for your character.
The levelling game? It's not dead for a lot of people. Being allowed to have 50 cahracters, some people get together with some fo their friends and level different combos for the enjoyment of playign together.
Doing 5 mans in anything but end-game instances? This goes along with the previous senario I mentioned.
A lot of people playing wow are not solo players sitting in LFG, but are memebers of guilds with things like Ventrillo. So they spend most of their time hanging out with friends and talking while playing the game. Not to mention that you left of raiding.
The "frontier" is still around, you just don't want it. Go live in in the wilderness in Alaska or in the vast empty space in most of the states bordering Canada or in Canada. There are many places left where you can go and not see another human. However, much like 100 years ago, you might have to give up some luxuries to do so.

Sounds like the train of thought the Militia type in Michigan go through.

I was told there would be no math.
Where you told why it was deleted? Did the "local person of note" meet the guidelines for being part of Wikipedia?

Your bike has a hidden cost; looking like a dork.

Makes it sound more sensational
Yeah,
God forbid they make money of something they produced.
Wake up on he wrong side of the bed this morning?

Scottsdale is full of trendy people
Trendy peopel buy what they think is trendy
The hopes is that they will see the new store in Fashion Square and then purchase from it because it will be new
Once a few start purchasing from it, the trendy people will have to purchase to remain trendy.
Yeah, being sold in more stores is certainly going to be horrible for the vendors.
So Tiffany's has a larger show room?

If there is one thing griefers have, it's time. a second would be effort.
Create a toon on the other faction. On some servers, this would require a second account and on others it could be done from the same account.

Like most things, the community.

I had this same thought. Picturing the therapists getting ganked in the middle of a session. Guess they could continue on as ghosts...
