I will believe it when I see it. I am suspicious of anything from this website. Further, there is no link to a document, bill, or otherwise; only "Language in the final draft of the Internet freedom proposal was obtained exclusively by The Daily Caller."
I also think Rand/Ron Paul are on the skirts of The Republican Party. They are flies that the GOP leadership tolerate in order to get the libertatian votes.
Also note that there is a list of senators and congressmen at the bottom, but it doesn't explicitly state that they signed on to this. It only states they "work on internet issues".
Agreed. I was a previous linux/bsd desktop user up to a few years ago. Recently I thought it would be cool to run this new "Ubuntu" I keep hearing about.
The interface was so dumbed down (and blown up) that I nearly lost my mind. I had to boot into my windows partition to google how to open a damn terminal window in Ubuntu.
From the article: "The most convincing way to see that the flags are still there, is to view a time series of LROC images taken at different times of day, and watch the shadow circle the flag."
Interesting. I wonder if the transition to a full robotic staff is predicted to be about three years. This retraining offer could be an effort to head off the bad PR of replacing their human warehouse workers. "We offered to retrain them!"-Amazon
I keep wondering who will be responsible for cleaning up the thousands or millions of pc's that get infected (or re-infected) years after a "cyber" war is over. I have never heard an answer to that.
Assuming this was an attack, and stuxnet was an attack; what happens when hostilities are resolved and the opposing countries go back to peace? Is it the responsiblity of the attacking country to clean up all the hard drives and firmware that was infected during the "war"? We all know how hard it can be to get rid of viruses/malware.
What happens when peace is declared and yet there are latent "weapons" sill self infecting the computers?
Yeah it's sad. I don't even pretend to stop and look at the programming schedule for Discovery anymore. I just flip past it as fast as I do for (sadly) TLC, History and AMC. What a shame those channels have become.
Something to help you get started could be to try to clean up the code, add comments, and try to create documentation. There is a nice utility for generating developer documents here: http://shfb.codeplex.com/
That is probably the most stupid comment I have ever seen. Supply was lower in 2010 compared to 2008. So that explains an increase in demand? That is not how "basic economics" works. Demands lead Supplies.
This is because, according to a report by Verizon and the Secret Service, the demand for data is on the rise.
In 2008 the underground market for data was flooded with more than 360 million stolen personal records, compared to just 3.8 million in 2010.
How is that a rise?
Dailymail and Citi bank apparently use the same QA department.
I feel that the U.S. (my home) having this much control is unacceptable.
In regards to your comment, you are completely wrong. The US still manufactures many things. Trains, Planes, Automobiles, Farming machinery, Space explortation vehicles/bots, etc. Sure we dont make tires or coffe pots, but we have moved on beyond those things. It makes more sense to have developing nations produce those for us.
In the future, those nations will build the planes, trains, etc. And we will be building X.
And yes, we are a leading supplier of food stuffs as well.
I heard recent clips from the Supreme Court where they were asking questions about "texting". They didn't know if two people who texted at the same time would have their text's collide and be blocked.
The people on the U.S. Supreme Court are decades behind technology.
I have been to the CM a couple times. It is definately a lot of fun. One word of caution though, there are some places there (that i found while trying to keep up with my son) that can trigger claustrophobia.
I have to agree with others that it is a must see.
I don't know why there is so much Blender bashing here. I have been using it off and on for a few years, and I love it. I work for a major flight sim company and I can create models in Blender in about half the time it take us when using Creator (Presagis).
I can export to OpenFlight, and compile in our proprietary software, UV texture and all. Very cool.

eh.
My opinion might come from living in a "western" country, but I just don't get why some countries seem to want to stay in the dark ages.
Are they oblivious to the fact that their region as once the "mecca" of science and math?...and maybe could be again if they tried?

Maybe it was too obvious for me and i'm too old.

Well, those would have been nice to see.

Handcuffs, really? Couldn't this have been solved in a matter of minutes if the TSA just asked a few questions of the students and teacher?
The same with the shooting in Florida. If both guys had just talked/asked questions that teenager would still be alive.
Jesus. Why don't you break out the tape measure too.

I was excited about this, until I went to their "website". http://www.shackletonenergy.com/
Yes, but you still have to call the 1-800 number in india and let them know you don't have in installed on more than on drone in your household.

Thanks for all your hard work. Good luck in the future.
Can you cite your references? There was a recent study that said the complete opposite of what you are claiming. http://www.pbs.org/kcts/videogamerevolution/impact/myths.html /.
I believe it was even posted here on
Keep the old wives' tales to yourself.
Didn't see that coming.

Apparently I am the only person on Slashdot that likes the 3D movies, gimmik or not.

They better not try this in Saudi Arabia. They could end up on death row. http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/meast/03/19/saudi.arabia.sorcery/index.html?hpt=T2
