  1. I read the article and it says the bill wants to restrict recording to the area by the driver. I don't see where it says that is already in effect today.

    Funny because reddit deletes posts all the time. Sometimes whole articles that are actively being commented on are removed either temporarily or permanently (Obama iama, Boston Bombing threads where people were locating relatives, etc.).

    I don't really feel like Metro has been forced down my throat. So what if that start menu looks a little different? If it bothers you so much then download something that will give you the normal start button back.

    I don't get why people don't like the way Windows 8 boots up with the start menu open. Isn't one of the first things you do open an application? That brings you right to where you need to go.

    It seems like some people just wanna call it 3G forever. Some of us like simple things with a number that increases every 5-15 years.

    Well the overage cost on that plan would be about $900. I agree that is a little extreme, but it is far from the $68k mentioned in the summary. And there would be an average of 3 data overage text messages a day alerting you to the additional fees.

    You make copying music sound harder than it is. Just drag the music file onto the picture of the device in iTunes.

    Yea they should keep making Windows XP more secure. And while they are at it they should keep patching the bugs in Windows 98 and ME as well.

    Yea most major browsers....except Internet Explorer for XP. That is quite a few users there.

    I still don't know what a web app is, and I use two iPhones and an iPad daily. I can't even come up with a decent site that explains it. Is it just a link on the home screen to a web page? I never knew so many people used them until these recent articles.

    From what I read Google Chrome for Windows XP has the same limitation. Something about using the native OS call for SSL functions. The lack of support for Internet Explorer for Windows XP is a major shortfall for SNI. At my company we can't justify having a site that doesn't work properly in Internet Explorer for XP. I'm sure we aren't unique.

    Also my understanding is that some of those browsers, including IE 7/8, don't support SNI in WIndows XP.

    That is a good point. I just got caught up in the idea of being able to sync my iPhone in seconds. Not that it is something I even do that often.

    I thought it was only GPL Version 3 that was banned. My understanding is the third revision added restrictions that conflict with the app store policies.

    Then what's the point of this article? If software was never intended for this type of market, why are people surprised that their software is not allowed in this market?
