    I love computers, but I hate the "opaque, restrictive software" that everyone, except for FOSS projects (for the most part), seems to make.
    But when you actually find that perfect software, it is a beautiful thing.

    But I would say that the study shows that the "brain training" games do not create much mental activity.
    I played one once, it was basically just a bunch of stupid mini games.

    I would bet most normal games would induce more brain activity then "brain trainers".

    yes but if the story writer can take a Chinese custom and turn it into why the company is so evil and even use a picture of workers taking their daily nap as the only picture they show on this story, then can you trust anything else the story says?
    For example on another articulate about this story they mentioned that "The factory violates every labor law in China".
    I do not know anything about Chinese labor laws, but I doubt that every singe labor law in china can be broken by a single factory. I am sure some are just common sense and are good for both the company and the employees.
    And they only make 52 US cents/hour, but what is that compared to the industry standard in China (you could make 50 US cents/hour in many countries and be rich)?

    And the site owners pay for their bandwidth and own their content, they have no reason to give it to you for free.

    The profs at my school specifically said that just replacing code strings would do nothing to hide it from the automated methods.

    I do not know any of the details, but from what I understand at least at my school they use some very advanced methods of comparing code.

    I am surprised that they would allow anything with admin in it, I would assume any email I got with admin@whatever.xxx (or something like that) would be from the runners of the email service.

    While the ad only showed a mans chest, that is not the point of the controversy.
    The point is that the ad was basically advocating sexting.

    I am pretty sure no one was mad about the ad containing a males chest.

    But even if it is bad now because it is free/open and being used, is it not very likely to improve in the future?
    But I know very little about the format, maybe it is just fundamentally flawed.

    I was just watching a new show showing a group of Catholics saying they would have to stage a civil war to stop the abortions.

    Well unless I am misinformed it really looks like their is pretty much a solid case for claiming that the law would force them to offer reimbursements in Europe.
    So they might not have a choice if someone pushes enough.

    Unless they are saying that they plan to break European law.

    I do not care how sensitive to light you are, if you can survive outside and in a normally lighted room you will have no trouble with a price scanner.

    I have only had one job that was mostly just programming.
    In that job I would come into work in the morning (9:00) take a few minute lunch break and leave at 5:00pm, otherwise it was siting in front of a monitor coding.

    In general I would say, as long as you enjoy your work and want to be a good employee, you should work 95-99% of the work day, excluding designated break times.

    How I understand it, that is what Trudeau did.
    From what I have heard he was a communist but knew he could never do anything if he did not join one of the important parties.

    It is very undemocratic, but that does not change the fact that only 2-3 parties really have a chance to do anything.

    I really do not think that ISPs sell internet well below what it should cost, at least if you are taking about anywhere in North America.

    We all get outrageously high prices for internet access.
    At least if you go with any companies that advertise, switch to any that don't and they are half the price (but 99% of people still use one of the big name big price companies).
    I think that is pretty good proof that price fights have not really lowered the cost much.
