I'm on a family plan with my family and when you divide up the cost, I pay $52 a month for unlimited data, unlimited texting, 200 of my own anytime minutes (with rollover), unlimited nights/weekends and unlimited mobile-to-mobile
That's nice. How Many are on that "family" plan ? 4 People ?
Guess what, if you are 2 people, the cost goes to 104 a month PER PERSON. Or single, It goes to 208 a month.
Regardless, Yes. For a family plan, per person you are going to pay MUCH LESS than a single user contract. That's what people call a "DUH" moment. However, For my "dumb" phone, I pay 35 a month (with taxes in that amt.) and I have only ONE time come close to using my minutes (3000 N/W 250 DT) because, Unlike many with cellphones, I only use it when I have to call someone to speak with them (no texting/etc.) and I don't use it constantly.
There's at least one major TV show that is done in front of a live studio audience. Saturday Night Live seems to do fine despite YouTube, Twitter, etc.
There's a reason that is the case. It is because the show is WATCHED live, not taped and aired weeks/months later.
Be that as it may, it's nearly always the case that you can increase your salary faster by keeping your skill set current and job-hopping than by staying in the same job, whether you keep your skill-set current or not. When you get a response like this from your management, the right thing to do is to figure out how to make yourself more valuable, and *change jobs*. Your management already knows what you're worth, and the only way they'll ever learn otherwise is for you to decide to leave. When you do that, they will either correct the discrepancy or let you leave.
Gee.. Job hopping. There is this REALLY neat thing called benefits (that you get ONLY after you've been at a company for some amount of time). This cool thing called a "Paid Vacation" is something else you only get after some amount of time.
I'll tell you this, when I interview I see someone who has been job hopping, I'll avoid them like the plague they are.
He could possibly still be charged on espionage, racketeering and related laws. Treason is actually very limited in the US by the US constitution even if he was a US citizen.
None of those carry a death penalty unless the violation of the laws directly result in someone's death. However, that still shouldn't be much of a concern because the US often agrees not to pursuit the death penalty as a condition to extradite someone from different countries.
If you really want to hurt them, Buy locally produced organic (from a REAL Organic farm). Join a CSA and get good local produce almost year round (one here in Mass goes from June through December, then they have a winter one that goes from Jan through the end of Mar).
They don't need the RIAA anymore. Marian Call just recently did a 50 state tour on her own (She only has Hawaii left to perform in and she'll be there around Christmas). She performed at Wootstocks in NYC and in Boston.
You could even combine it with some kind of traditional pin or even biometrics if you want to be all new age, giving you the very trendy "3 factor authentication".
Sorry, One reason this will fail - People are inherently lazy.
If they can't get their swipe and walk away then they'll not be happy...
Granted, I also don't want yet another thing to hang off my keychain, but I'd rather have THAT safety than nothing.
Keep in mind that Oracle Java is the "reference" copy of Java. Just because its the one most people use is not the point. For many moons, there was a couple of OTHER java implementations (Too bad Oracle now owns the BEA implementation of java too). There is still one that FreeBSD has (that was actually "blessed" by Sun).
I've been a professional software developer for over 20 years and this is one area that I really think would benefit the REAL world so much.
I would also love to see a 2 semester class where 1 semester is where they learn how to write software specifications for fictitious business software package.
Then the 2nd semester is where it has to be implemented by a different group of students.
How about we feed the animals the foods they were DESIGNED to eat (i.e. Feed Cows GRASS, Not Corn). Yes, the grass might cost more but you wouldn't need to pump them full of antibiotics.
That's my biggest gripe. I'm a geek and I can setup my 0wn "server". I don't trust ANYONE with my browser history, passwords, etc. (How much data mining did they do on what was saved and will that be getting sold off after they "close" ?)
If you live in the metro, own a home, and your wife stays at home with the kids - making $200,000 hardly qualifies you as "rich". Especially if you are a small business owner.
From the Summary:
(cutoffs are doubled for joint returns).
The way I take this is they'd have to make 400K before they hit the tax.
it is the neighbor breaking into the glaziers and taking windows for his new house without paying (the users taking from the vendor without paying)
However this is intellectual theft. In this situation, the glazier hasn't be deprived of one piece of glass or glaze, so he can sell that glass to someone else.
It would be "more" like me going into a staples, picking up a magazine and taking pictures of an article then putting the magazine back and taking my pictures with me.
LED light bulbs are available.... pricey, but perhaps worth it?
Yes, they do have them. However, in the lamp next to the couch where my wife prefers sitting, she wants 100 W (so she can read comfortably). So far the brightest LED bulb I've seen is 75W equiv.
Also what about "smart homes" that use things like X10 ? Do CFL's work with X10 figures/etc. ?
I loath CFL lights. They don't last ANYWHERE near the reports say they will. Yet the power LED on one of my computers is still happily running (after 24 hours a day for 10 years).
And LEDs don't require you to use a hazmat suit to pick up pieces if you break one (since they contain Mercury).
McDonald's was the stupid one. All she wanted was the medical bills for her 3rd degree burns paid; I think that's quite reasonable. McDonalds said "No way, bitch, sue us". Dumb. They deserved getting their asses handed to them on a platter, they BEGGED for it.
So if you sold someone some pizza and they shoved a piece of the melted cheese onto their "nether region", and they got burns, its your fault ?
What person in their right mind, regardless of "how hot" something is puts an OPEN container of coffee between their thighs ? If someone said "I put my hot coffee between my thighs and I got burned - Its your fault." came to me I'd say sue too.. because I'd think there is no way this can be my fault.

Then they should have the bomb sniffing dogs sniffing you. Much less invasive and will ACTUALLY find any bomb residue/traces.

Want to rethink that don't carry a death penalty statement ? - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_and_Ethel_Rosenberg
Will Intel provide documentation so that other OSes will be able to make use of this feature ?
Or someone manipulates the markets and causes an mini-crash again.
Have a little case with enough slots for desks. Each student puts their cellphone into a box corresponding to their desk.
No Cellphones makes it MUCH simpler to not have them used for cheating.
And the rule is - If you don't turn your cellphone in - YOU FAIL. Done.
Didn't they have to begin filing against each individual infringer ?

On a sidenote, for hilarity's sake, let's refer to her as "She Who Cannot Be Named."
What about calling her Volda-tort ?
How exactly do you determine if your house has "dirty power" ?
