Well, I'm a... less recent grad and in all of the time that I worked as an AE, almost all of it was with Fortran. All of our CFD codes are in Fortran. All of the legacy aerodynamic performance codes are in Fortran. This also seems to be the case with our partners in the Air Force and with other corporations.
Perhaps it's different in your sub-discipline?
Fortran seems to continue to be the standard in aerospace engineering. I think that anyone getting a degree in AE should take the time to at least familiarize himself/herself with Fortran.
I don't think the person writing the summary was implying that the list was DoD classified. I read this as being a more generic definition of "secret". Plus, it's pretty obvious from reading the document that it is not "SECRET".
Just to clarify, the LDS church has never taken a stand against caffeine. It's been coffee and tea, but never caffeine specifically.

You might be right about the dogfighting days being over. But just remember that the same argument was made 4 decades ago when they decided that F-4s didn't need guns.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm pretty religious and I actually like my life. I enjoy spending time with my family and I'd like to hang around for a while. I actually don't spend a great deal of time thinking about the afterlife. I find that living my beliefs makes me happier in this life.
The stratosphere is about 8-15 km above sea level, depending on latitude. To put this in perspective, the top of Mt. Everest is two-ish km shy of the stratosphere.
The biggest problem is that you NEVER know whether any study published is done this way or not.
Spoken like someone who has never actually read a scientific paper. Any paper I've seen will give you: (1) the historical context for why they are doing a study, (2) the assumptions made in doing the study, (3) details on the observational data and model used in completing the study, and (4) a RANGE of possible results. It is true that the media typically doesn't do a good job of reporting uncertainties, but don't accuse the scientists of sloppiness when you're completely unaware of what goes into a scientific paper.
I don't like this at all. Suspend her, give her detention, whatever. But don't frisk and arrest her for texting. What the hell is happening to our schools?
In our case, yes the light was in each frame. It showed my wife's car entering the intersection with a red light, and leaving it around 2 seconds later (also with a red light). Like I said, I was pretty impressed.
In Cobb County, GA, they provide about four of five pictures, effectively giving you a time profile of the infraction. I was rather impressed when my wife's ticket arrived in the mail. They really made it quite clear that she was moving through the red light.
You must be kidding me. All right, here's the scenario. Three 30 year olds walk into a bar. One looks about 20, one about 30, and the other about 40. You're the bartender. What do you do?
1. Ask the one who looks 20 for his ID, but not the other, thereby offending him.
2. Ask only the two who looks like they're under 40.
3. For goodness sake, just ask ALL three of them for their IDs and be done with it!
One flaw in your logic: How are you going to know when the *accident* happened, to within 15 seconds?

Ooh, and then we could rotate those diamonds 45 degrees and have squares!
You really shouldn't generalize like this. All generalizations are bad.

I nominate the guys from The Pirate Bay. Arrrr!

Please let it go. We have a whole new administration to whine about.
Because they believe they MIGHT get better.

What's that? I'm detecting a hint of sarcasm in the parent post.
Wow, slashdotters must have a REALLY low opinion of lawyers to have modded this insightful instead of funny.
Damn Canadians...
I don't know, but I know that he won't be saying it in court!

Mario has been doing this for years, and he doesn't even need the "small unmanned boat". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_Sunshine
That's all right. Our Secretary of the Treasury doesn't know how to pay his taxes.

Utah actually does have "bars" in addition to these private clubs. But the bars can only serve beer and wine. http://www.visitutah.org/liquorlaws.htm
