If it enters the ground water, that is bad too. It might be even worse.
You could build the plant somewhere far away from ground water, like in a salt mine, or one of those underground locations they are planning to store the nuclear waste. But then how do you cool it?
It has nothing to do with nutrients. The inbalance of soluted salt between the inside of cells (quite salty) and outside (no salt) causes water to migrate into the cell through the cell membrane until the solution is balanced for both sides of the membrane. Because water can freely pass through it, but salts usually can't, it means a cell that is surrounded by destilled water soaks up water until it bursts.
Obviously your body will try to enrich any water you drink with salts before it gets into your bloodstream. But if that fails, you are in trouble.
At first I thought, that this Cringely guy was applying for a job at 1995, but lost. Then the Job was named Steve, so maybe Steve Jobs was applying for a job with Cringely. Or the other way around. That would have been fun. But why would someone tape that? In the end I guess it is just a plain old normal Interview... zzzZZzzz
Which still has the effect that it does not do, what the user told him to do. To the user, the computer is a package of physics, hardware and software. To him it does not matter at which of these points it fails, the effect is the same.
No, I am sorry to tell you, that you are wrong. Computers will not always do what you tell them. Sometimes they instead to something else. This is what you call a bug. If this happens you will stand there, scratching your head, and try to figure out what is going on.
Your argument, that this is only because the programmer told them to do that, is flawed. It could be a hardware bug. In that case it is because the hardware engineer "told" the computer to do it. Or is could be a broken part, in which case the manufacturer is at fault maybe? In any case, the user sitting in front of the screen will tell the computer to do something and then shit happens.
I hope I never become one of the elderly. I want to be old, aged, a mummy whatever. That is ok. But those elderly are the worst. Always using those clunky low spec gadgets no one else would touch. Not cool.
It depends on the bit's position. Obviously a 2^7 bit is heavier than than a 2^0 bit. This is also the reason why there are few handheld 64bit devices. They would get too heavy to carry around with ease.
Nothing disproves that, as that would be impossible (magic did it). But it makes them look more stupid, when they try to argue around every new finding.:)
This is only true if you supply that stream of bad data into all the channels, the other side has to get data about you. In this case, they know that everything on his site might be fake. So they might have to use other channels to cross-check it. But he can only influence the data on his website, not the other means the FBI has to get data about him. So in the end, at worst the FBI is exactly as good off, as if he had not supplied data at all. But it is more likely, that the combined data from all channels will filter out the false facts from his website and reenforces the truth.
And this makes it harder to find him out than not supplying any info at all... how? If the info is false, you might find conflicting facts in it. Data that might be true is certainly better than no data at all, when trying to figure something out.
Get us real optical computers first. Then maybe we can talk about using quantum computing on them. But the first step alone would be a huge improvement.
That's all nice information, but what I really need to know is what hardware setup and software would allow me to run this game and the spyware it comes with in a virtual machine, so it can not spy out my pc? Or will I be forced to pirate this? I was going to buy but I guess that won't happen anytime soon now.
Vacuum is an excellent heat isolator. It's used in between double glassed windows for example. No heat can get through unless it's radiating over the vacuum gap.
They don't. Which is why the next case will still end up in court. Only that they won't argue about blocking or not blocking. Instead it will be about are they related to Nesbin2, or not.

I am generally not in favor of nuclear power.
But my support for new reactors is not that bad. I'd say I even support them.
It is the old reactors still running, those cash cows running at absolute safety limit or bewlow, that I really want to disappear.
It has nothing to do with nutrients.

A tax usually goes to the state.
Actually it's the old meaning. We have come full circle.
When their update frequency breaks 2.6ghz, it's time to get a new pc, so my cpu can keep up with the counting.

The big question is, does that price include lifting the batteries needed for a 1 hour flight?

It's a billionth of a billionth of a billionth of the mass of a car.
Cthulu?
People who think with their genitalias would have a strong advantage in that selection process.

Humans tend to defend the position they invested in, even if it may have been a bad choice in hindsight.

Which means it is used... our lab oven has one.

What is ASK and where is that toolbar supposed to be?
I have Avira on a laptop and there is no such thing.
They don't.
