Since so much squirrel meat ends up in the trash anyway — people who are looking for squirrels usually only want the fur —, why not? I wonder what jugged squirrel tastes like compared to jugged rabbit...
At first it was the fear of (the return of) monarchy, then it was the Native Americans they feared; after that, it was a fear of themselves (a.k.a. the Secession War), then black people, then communists, and now it all revolves around terrorism. Americans have never stopped feeling persecuted and will go to great lengths to find new "persecutors" — only the very first on in my list ever was one of them anyway.
Well, first off, only fairly recent GPUs support OpenGL 4.x. Secondly — correct me if I'm wrong —, I'm not sure tessellation would be useful to draw a desktop GUI.
Yeah, ATM Machines. Those things that you put your PIN Number into.
I got a friend who once made a presentation on the PC at uni, and some of his lines were about "CD and DVD disks." Other than that, the only acronym I can think of is MCB (Mauritius Commercial Bank), as I've often heard people say "MCB bank."
A single-player game can present an interesting storyline in ways that a multi-player game cannot (or, at least, has not yet).
The problem is that, just like books, a lot of people don't like spending time enjoying and understanding a game with an actual storyline and plot. What they want is, sadly enough, instant gratification.
Well, the fact that they're no longer making motherboards is a direct consequence of not being able to make good motherboards. Ironically enough, mine's got an nVidia chipset, and nVidia is out of the chipset business as well.
You might wanna add DFI to the list... My old LP UT NF590 SLI has no official support for Phenom II CPUs when Asrock has managed to do so on an nForce 3 motherboard.
At least Gigabyte's site is easier to browse... What's your motherboard model name, by the way?
Keypad starting to wear out after 2 years of light use.
That is unfortunately a common Sony Ericsson syndrome. The keypad on my W580i was so fragile that dropping it from less than 10 cm would break a key or two.
Scanned through a bunch of pages, and it seems that all Blu-ray titles so far are 8 bits per channel, so it's just the HDMi connection that can handle this at this stage.
So you're right, it's useless to have those color depths — 'cept for future proofing, I reckon.
Why you fail to mention DX10, I don't know. At any rate, here is a list of all games that support it. Hope that's enough for ya.
Anyway, proper support for multi-core CPU's has been introduced in Vista, so switching to Seven from XP will give you that. No more patches to prevent games from displaying what I call "the Benny Hill syndrome" (everything goes at 2x speed in games, possibly more — of course, the framerate remains unchanged) with AMD CPU's.
In addition, XP has neither Direct2D nor DVXA 2.0 support, not to mention that it lacks 30 and 48 bit color depth. That and the interface, along with a lot more shortcuts and a searchbox in the start menu allow you to move around more easily.
As a bonus, you'll get nVidia's scaling and ambient occlusion. Yes, I know — not making them available them under XP has to be a business decision from the aforementioned company, but still... the fact is, you can't have those under XP.
Furthermore, there are much more settings sound-wise; you can adjust the sound volume for each and every application or choose the bitrate and the sampling rate for every sound device, among other things. And there's the second bonus: sound quality. I had always thought the reviewers were talking nonsense when testing the Xonar D2 under Windows 6.x but it's true — that card does sound better under Vista and a fortiori Seven.
With Sierra games like Half Life, you could input "33333333333333333333333" (just a lot of threes, actually) and that'd let you install and play the game.
O Tenenbaum, o Tenenbaum,

Actually, I know the answer to my own question — I was an English major at university. I asked it because the parent poster seemed to ignore that Great Britain isn't a country. Oh well, my fellow countrymen don't either...
Actually, I was referring to the parts where you have to mess around with poles to have water, light or something like that flow through a bunch of pipes. There's a lot more to Prince of Persia than mere button mashing, especially in PoP: Warrior Within, in which you have to take into account what kind of foes you are battling against. Mashing the sword button will only result in killing a enemy every couple of minutes, which can get old pretty fast.
Well, I'm talking about things like "then" instead of "than" here. Promoting bad spelling? Just seems wrong to me. English is already hard as it is not to have media confuse you even further about its spelling.
The biggest put-off for me was all the spelling mistakes... Made me feel as though the developers didn't take time to do something as basic as checking the spelling...

or maybe just some sharks with freaking lazier beams on there freaking heads..
You probably meant "more energetic."

I, Herby, revoke your geek license.
Do ganja men have such powers? :o

So your password would rather be “comeesofrancésdespués” then?

So yeah, there's nothing new under Windows Seven.

Is Great Britain a country?
Thirded.
Mashing the left and right arrow keys alternatively in Chocobo World sure was entertaining. ;-)

But maybe it was intentional.
Reminds me of Arcanum, in which a lot of dead NPC's couldn't be resurrected. Your party members and some NPC's could, but not everyone.

So... I get it you didn't like the Prince of Persia games either? ;P
