tell them it's an upgrade and leave it at that. don't tell them that you are switching to a new OS. if you stress that they are changing OS they will stress.
this would have been a great april fools joke. Kvim could include an add on module called kflame that automaticaly generates flaming posts. this would force Gvim to release Gflame. these would be followed by Kextinguish and Gwiz. oh please let it end!
open source aside, if you force this on all software/hardware companies in the US, you will not only create a demand for bootleg devices and software, the source will be from outside the US.
Supply and Demand.

I'm not aware of anyone running a current version of Solidworks or Autocad on Wine, but Vdraft and Intellicad both have been running under wine for quite some time. http://www.dragon-designs.net/~cad-tastrafy/wine .p age1.html
according to a post in comp.cad.solidworks, there is a petition to have mac and linux versions.

i was running a 2.4 on mandrake 8.0 and had nothing but problems. my logs were filled with write errors from startup until shutdown. everyone told me that it was a bad drive. the older mandrake that had the 2.2 had used this drive fine. when i made the jump to debian/potato with it's 2.2 kernel all the wirte problems disappeared. I'm sticking with 2.2 for a while.
We just came from the movie. I was not bad! they stuck as close to the book as they could without making it a 5 hour feature. as always a book is better than a movie, but they did really well.
for every new security measure thye will find a way around it. When are they going to start requiring training of pilots to fight terrorist onboard their aircraft.
by the way they are pushing Carnivore again. I guess they are wanting to watch us instead of the terrorist armed with boxcutters.
Back durring the last century, this was an on going joke. when all the clocks rolled over we'd be back on mylar. hold on. the group i was working with (at boeing) was still using mylar/pens (in 1999).
enjoy

it is illeagal to do something that obstruct the efforts of law enforcement. they tell everyone that they are doing this. then everyone shows up wearing a hat to obstruct the view of the cameras.
are they criminals?
of course not. that would be like it being illeagal to post links to DeCSS on your web page.:-\
by day, I'm a mild mannered Catia driver on AIX.
when will we see Catia on Linux.
I realize that this is a question as much for Dasault, but I figured you should know.
has anyone asked the question "why so many spammers had his email address?"
"This bill was prompted by SPAM to the author's,
Garcia, AOL account popping up porn before being
caught by the AOL parental controls. "
ya, sounds like some one was caught alright!
most people seem to think it's great.
i'm not one of them.
if google wanted to get into the usenet search business they should just started they're own instead of destroying something that works.
we've used msall isp for years, but they are getting hard to find. when we first moved to georgia i had service with a small isp that got bought out by a company called g-net. they changed our user names, passwords, addresses, lost my wifes email account all together, lost my web page. their tech support was a bunch of kids reading from a script. it was a night mare.
and if i think someone has some of my personal information on their system can i DOS them as well?
just a compliment.
great search engine!
You're IT!
Well, actually, we do have a group for users/developers of Cad on Linux. if anyone is interested in joining, please do.

When will CATIA on Linux see daylight?
The only shops that i know of that are going to V5 are changing to NT from AIX.

well deserved.

in the immortal words of my father.
"show me the last solution and i'll show you the problem"
beware of a quick fix!

That's that many more people that are considering Linux.

what, to you, is more important. desktop environments/eyecandy ie Gnome, KDE. or a common standard base for Commercial venders/Open source developers.
