It looks the same from this side(US) as well. i guess the distance makes it all a little more humorus. just remember, the EU is headed down the same path. patents and all. we just had a head start.
so if a person always chooses Windows even when it is not the best choice she/he is a zealot and a terrorist. if you blindly push the use of Windows on others even when other systems are in place that work better you are a zealot and a terrorist. if you can not accept that anyone would want to use anything other than Windows and slam them for it you are a zealot and a terrorist.
Wow!, i guess it's true all microsoft marketing staff are terrorist!
to not apply the same standards to windows users as those that get applied to linux users would be hipocritic.:-)
it's a shame that everyone always get all up tight over replacements for X and Xfree86. i use Xfree86. it does what i need, and is more than fast enough for what i do(3D graphics). even still, if some one wants to come up with an alternative, Great! if they can make it compatable with the tools i already use, Even Better! I'll try it. if it is an improvement, then i'll keep it. if not, i'll go back to Xfree86. it has always served me well.
There have been a number of articles that paint McB' as a perfect mormon. most of these articles have been in local papers(saltlake etc). they read like a press release. they have stayed a hair away from proclaiming this whole mess as an anti-mormon struggle and SCO/Canopy as the second coming. who after all are just trying to keep jobs for other good mormons. most US papers/news services do not recirculate these stories. i've worked with enough mormons to know that they are not all this way, so i'm glad the sories are not circulated. it would be a dis-service.
many(many, many) years ago i was reading a national geographics issue that showed several purposed designs of a controled land landing of a Gemini capsule using a cross between a parafoil and a hang glider. i'm sure it was dropped because of materials of the age not being strong enough. seems like one of the X-prise entries is using this approach. why isn't nasa looking at things like this again. seems like it's the best of both worlds.
how about offering indemnify to all the stock holders that were con'd into thinking scox was worth more than $0.78. he can pay it out of what he has earned out of his stock sales. maybe even do the same for those unix licences.
I can pass a Drug test, Lie detector test, and a CAT scan. btw, my name is elmer j fud, millionare. i own a mansion and a yact. and the sun will rise in the west.
the obvious should go without saying, Houston Space center, Kennedy space center. space.com has a running launch schedual.
just west of Wichita Kansas is a town called Hutchenson. they have a space museum called the Cosmosphere. i've seen larger museums, but this one has a number of items from the former soviet space program. if your in the area, it's worth a stop.
i used to work for a company that was working with this in the mid 90s. it was called alamo group. they were in Seguin Tx. the local Aggies would tell us about how this was the rage at school.
most of my favorite 3D applications use TK/TCL. Ayam3d and AC3D are both fast and light. they run well even on older hardware(i've tested this time and time again.
Also, someone else pointed out Coin3D. i've always hoped that someone would do something with it. it's just too cool.
90% of the training we get it purely charmschool stuff. how to get along with a (PH)manager. how to tell someone that they are wrong with out getting fired...... you have to scratch and claw to get really training

we just had a head start.

so if a person always chooses Windows even when it is not the best choice she/he is a zealot and a terrorist.

" More and more I find that the mainstream news sources are plain flat-out wrong on just about any topic I happen to know about."
i would have to agree. it makes it really hard to trust them on the subjects i do not know. especially if they butcher the ones i do.
I can pass a Drug test, Lie detector test, and a CAT scan.

Ahhhhhh, AHhhhh
I've been asking about that too!
can't wait for an answer.
i noticed that as well. some of my favorite applications use TK/TCL. in fact i know of more that use tk/tcl than fltk or fox. if it works, use it.
in northern Oklahoma there is a salt lake that has a park where you can dig for selenite crystals.

i was wondering about the games page as well.
i thought i had just screw up something in my preferences.
