    I'm sorry to say, but they actually dropped quadruple digit percentages, people who bought stocks for 10$ are now being forced to pay a hundred dollars to sell the stock.

    Wouldn't someone have already developed effective malware for mac os or linux by now just because no one had already, like, for the challenge? It seems to me if linux has 2% of the marketshare 2% of the malware would be targeted at linux but maybe thats not true.

    It says in the wikipedia entry on algorithm that there isn't even really an agreed upon precise definition of the word algorithm. what axioms are behind the algorithm or there being propositions that can neither be proven or dis-proven with those axioms? I think most probably either I or the parent is confused about the incompleteness theorem as it applies to the algorithm. maybe me lol

    It would be cool if there was some company that would let you send them all the torrents you want and they download it on their high speed connection and send you a dvd next day. privacy would be an issue though.

    The thing I think about is the way axioms are defined is that they cannot be proven true or false, they are the given. Wouldn't that mean that for every axiom an opposite axiom would be equally valid? If the first can't be proven true or false then the opposite can't be either. Anyway I think the decision to use certain axioms rather than their opposites comes from observations of the real world, Certain axioms seem more true because thats the way our universe seems to work. So its not surprising that the truths based on those axioms reflect the way physics works in this universe.

    I used a textbook for a class once had so many product placements in it I was amazed I had to pay $100 for the book on top of it. For instance when they were talking about servers they'd put it in terms of Microsoft products, they were giving examples of which software you could use for everything the book covered I don't know if the textbook company actually sold those or they were just freebies to the companies involved. I guess they could do math books were the word problems were like "how many coca cola bottles would you need..." stuff like that.

    i would like a window with icons but with a terminal box at the bottom that i could type ls *.bin for instance and the window would show those icons best of both worlds.

    I was thinking along the same lines, maybe they could use the 60mw to convert the free elements into useful compounds like phosphate or separate them to form things like pure salts or electronics grade silicon dioxide. They might be able to make more money from selling those kinds of things than selling the extra energy to the grid.

    That reminds me of my foolproof windows firewall, i disabled the network adapter and use linux for all the internet stuff.

    I thought the late fees were so high because people assume they'll get it back on time and don't take into account they'll be late and could have bought the movie for what they end up paying in late fees.

    I can't imagine the computing power necessary to fake that amount of data. j/k i guess it will be like when they "faked" the moon landing with special effects that were way ahead of what was being seen in movies at the time.
