Depending on the distro you use, you do not have to blacklist the HDMI audio module. Simply choose the appropriate audio output. Works well on kubuntu.
To be honest, the MS UNBLUR images are clearly better thant SHARP 1 and SHARP 2, at least for me. Their method allows the software to user more data than any post-processing filter, data that will not be preserved in the image itself.
For some people, unless if it adds a substantial fee to a phone or small cam, it is a benefit that cannot be replaced by a simple filter.
Most people who have Linux PC (either as a server or a desktop) probably have a Windows PC too because you can't really do everything with Linux.
Maybe you can't really do everithing with linux, but others can. Today you can pretty much do everything with any major OS, it all depends on your tastes and habits. Having a windows pc is not mandatory.
More like: no wonder Windows is more popular than Windows.
Is windows really more popular than windows? I always thought that windows was clearly left behind by windows not the opposite. Gee, the it world is so confusing, but as they say : windows is to windows what windows is to windows.
You can use chromium on linux. I prefer it to firefox now because when flashplugin crashes (often on x86_64), chromium does not have to be restarted, a simple refresh works.
At least, web developers can now use SVG without worrying about browser support for IE. If the page is viewed with a svg supporting browser, the svg rendering will be done by the browser, otherwise it will be done by flash. It's up to anyone to choose his browser.
Being a KDE fan, when kubuntu switched from 3.5 to 4.0, I tried GNOME on one machine. But since the release of kubuntu jaunty with KDE 4.2, I happily came back without any problems. Can't wait to try 4.3.
Kudos to the KDE team for that.
Can you specify what in KDE 4.2 doesn't work at all?
I've been a KDE user for years, kept KDE 3.5 on my laptop while switching to gnome on the desktop until kubuntu 9.04 and I honestly find KDE 4.2.2 very impressive and efficient.

well it must have been a long time since I have used windows since I don't remember where was the good docs.
From the article, this looks interesting
"Until now, engineers have built things by taking larger objects and cutting them down to make smaller ones [...] But in the future, things will be built not from the top down, but the bottom up -- as in nature."

ASRock ION 330 works like a charm for £260.
and maybe soon E17
You were trying to be funny!
I had the same problem! Spent hours of googling only to find out that I had to buy some paper. Linux is so not ready for the desktop.
I run kubuntu netbook remix on a dell mini and I find the KDE Plasma netbook to be perfectly okay.

Did you ever read George's Orwell 1984?
