I beg to disagree. I could still be considered a "kid" (16), and I "know my shit" about computers. Hell, I even work in a computer repair/sales shop! (not that it means much) But I still hate to "break shit" as that means I need to go "fix shit" to make it "unbroken shit" which "sucks shit" to do.
OT: After that last post, I really had to take a shit.
Because for us small computer shops, we can make our own Whatever XP and sell it because: 1) People want XP 2) We want stability, and reliability, so we don't have to deal with hyperactive customers.
Happy medium now is 2000, but not everyone wants to buy 2000 (especially with it costing more than XP now...).

Now I know that it doesn't completely outlaw it, it just makes it more of a bitch to get in the country than it should.
(just uncapped enough to get by the lameness filter)
Too bad last time I tried it didn't work. Or whatever their "roll your own iso" program was called (at least I think you're talking about the same thing)
What I did: 1. Went to a computer store and asked for a job. Got turned down cause the guy liked his techs 18 and more experience with customers than I had (no paying customers, family and friends of). 2. Had a friend call me the next weekend to see if I wanted to work at same computer store (his dad knew the owner well). Worked there for two weekends, and asked for a weekday job, got it.
Now this might not work for you, but ask friends/relatives/whoever if anyone knows someone looking for help in the computer feild. If you get an actual job with computers, take it, even if you don't get paid (I didn't get paid for the first two weekends). This gets you references if you get fired or they don't need help anymore. People skills help in ANY job, especially if you can bullshit well with people.
I'm 16, so I'm not in a much better boat than you, other than the fact that I can work more hours (in my state at least). Where I work, I get paid under the table, so since the gov't doesn't know I work, I can work as much as I want to (I work about 30+ hours a week, plus school.) Same pay as a normal HS job, but with the taxes already taken out.
Compaq, Dell, et all have decent looking cases on the outside and the front, but thats about it. Have you seen most Compaq systems from a few years ago or so? It's a pain in the ass to get it open because it uses some weird ass screws.
The inside is another story. I've seen that the insides of these things are the worst. Everything is messy inside, if you can even get in there, usually hardly any room to get around and move stuff.
Yup, but in the end, Goku (while still dead none the less) came back to earth for another tournament, and then thats where the Buu saga began or something. CN is up around there last time I checked.
Damn that Pachuka and his tree loving. (If you're a member of the emu scene and visited ZD a couple of times, you were bound to see the image in question)
I JUST this morning ordered one! I swear if I don't get it I'm going to raise hell.
(Addendum: I went job hunting today after I left my brother's resturant. I tried 5 places, 4 weren't hiring, 1 I had 30 mins to get to an interview. Turns out that I was EARLY for the interview despite me thinking I was late 15 mins, and that they wouldn't hire me because of age (16) although the clerk at the store I went to said they hire some positions at 16).
I agree on the Logitech Marble Trackball. I hate trackballs, but that was the only one I could stand using for a while.
I wonder what solutions are like for laptops? I think almost all companies now use the touchpad (which I abhor). I stick with an older laptop that still had one of those "nipple" "trackballs" or whatever you want to call them.
Game Boy Pocket had one of the best screens IMO on all of the GBs. It was probably the clearest out of everything except for GBA, and it was also the largest (square) screen.
Then again, I never got a Game Boy Light (Special GB released in Japan after GBP and before GBC)
OCR'ing a book isn't as hard as many think. Most of the books I've gotten from bookware sites are OCR'd without cleanup, so page numbers and stuff at the top and bottom (author name, chapter name, etc) get stuck there. The bitchy part is going back and making sure everything is right.
Yes, I've had experience, when the crappy school system my mother works in either didn't order the book, or ordered the wrong one for the blind student she is an aid for, someone has to type up the book, unless someone knows the wonders of OCR (which many don't).
They can't claim ownership, because they are just basically webhosting. A webhosting box is akin to a storage garage. The owner of the garage owns the space, but not the contents. Funny how that was just tried to be pulled on me and one of my sites.
If so, why? I can sort of understand for cable TV, but for network television, like in the US: ABC, FOX, NBC, etc. why? It's there and it's technically "free" as in no payment (just a TV and an antenna) so what's the difference here?

Isn't it Netherlands and not Nederlands?
You're right, you can't.

The "drive" which is actually a cradle for a flash cartridge sells for around $30usd

At least I didn't say "I'm on Linux 8.2" or something. I've never actually seen my comment, but I know it could be expected.

...that every time I download and burn a Linux distro, the next version appears within 8 hours - 3 days?

I'm pretty sure they are required by law to give you notice in some way. IANAL

Too bad the box set costs no where near 15-20 bucks.
