The way I see it is this: It's wrong to directly steal/pirate/whatever. If I go into a rental store, rent a game, and copy it, the software company STILL made money off the fact the rental store bought the game. They wouldn't have made any money off of me if there wasn't a rental store, as I probably wouldn't have bought it at all.
Then again, that is kind of comparing apples to oranges: Games cost $50, and the ones I buy I know I'll get at least 40 hours of use out of (providing I only play it once).
Software can be considered in the same way. If it wasn't so bloody expensive for most of the stuff I use (high end and low end both), I'd be more inclined to buy it (providing I had a source of income...)
Solution: Learn to eat other things, or come up with new ideas for food (that are quick and easy to make becuase I'm lazy).
Sample:
Lazyman Italian Bread Pizza
Get a loaf of Italian bread, cut a peice the size according to hunger, then either scoop out all the insides or just cut it in half. Stuff (or place) cherry tomatoes and shredded mozzerella (and/or other cheeses). Throw it in a microwave (fastest way) till the cheese melts, then throw it in a refridgerator for a good minute to cool.
Comcast doesn't currently have a monthly limit that I am aware of. Unless that was satire, then I say ha.
But on the firewall, they can't scan you with one up, at least a semi-decent one. I use ZoneAlarm, and the techs even KNOW that they can't do anything with it up. That's about all the techs do know, but that's another story.
With my current setup (1.2ghz and 640mb ram) and my last one (800mhz and 256mb ram), XP still runs pretty damn smooth, even while running 20 some odd windows, running a server, playing music, etc, with both configs. Last time I was in Linux (Bah to Windows installs formating the MBR) with 800 and 256megs of ram, XP was still faster with those stats than GNOME was (I don't care much for KDE).
Even in XP, I've seen the fastest bootup times of ANY OS (Win9x's, ME, 2k, Linux, Win 3.x, old old old OS's that I can't remember the names of) I've used.
Case 8) They're selling Windows with LiteStep installed as the shell with a KDE theme.

In the US, we have matinees, like your spectator days, based on time. In theatres local to me, They usually have 3 prices, basing this on weekends:
$5 for an adult to a morning or early afternoon show
$8 for a normal ticket
$6-$7 for matinee shows, usually around 6, the time when everyone is eating dinner/supper/last-meal-of-the-day
It went out for about an hour or two, I didn't keep exact track of time since I was playing Battle Realms. My friend called and bitched at tech support and taught them a few things.
I think I have Comcast@home. At least that's what I think will be on the bills, I'm still riding my 3 free months. I talked to a guy I know that works at @home, and he said that ATT bought it out, so no one's going anywhere.
I've seen that school's don't know how to spend money right, even when looking at it from all views. My school is spending $1m or something on new feilds which I say we need, though I don't like sports, but there's many other things we need (a/c, as it gets up to 90-100 in the school on the non a/c'd sides), among other things (textbooks, desks, etc).
Feh. That's nothing. Sometimes, usually during School Closing season and back when there was the last influx of news about the recent happenings in the US, There was only about a quater of the screen left.

What new 'incompatible standards' have they thrown in XP? I don't see any.
Yeah, that'd be me.

If they think they can have 650 hours in high quality music.
For me there is. My friend buys CDs weekly, and I usually rip em all. Only problem is keeping up with the HD space to throw it all.
Golden Sun IS good. It's not heavy on the story, but the battles are actually semi-interesting and don't get old quick (15 or so hours logged)

*sighs*
@home tech support is horribly stupid.

It's a program called Transperizer, search for it on google. It can monitor certain windows I believe, and can do varying levels of transparency.
I have an athlon 800, and it's still rather slow. I was making VCDs of Cowboy Bebop, and it took like 40-50mins for a 20 min ep.

Nope, I went to the mall Friday to pick up a GBA game, and in two or three stores, I saw teenagers (!) (girls at that (!!)) buying them.
Dance dance revolution all the way, baby yeah!
Erm, Konami makes DDR, I thought that was kind of obvious...
Porn Industry.
You do pay less, it's about $10/month I think...

Pico am say goal.
Funny how hours after it's released and posted on /., the AIM server (that I connect to at least) is down...
Litestep can do this, with the hotspots module.
