    Maybe executions for the losing party (and their lawyers) in any frivolous lawsuit will fix the problem. With the additional requirement that the wealthier party has to spend as little on lawyers as the poorest party involved.

    I can't imagine the electric companies will pay you enough to compensate for your time. $0.03/kwh for some .01/kwh of human output is NOT a productive activity.

    As far as battery technologies, the most recent well used technology is Li-ion. and that was developed by Exxon in the 1970's, so I don't see much hope for a "new battery tech" to change anything.

    Get an OLPC, they are cheap, rugged, and can be powered by a large variety of power sources. As a plus no one is likely to steal it. Get a USB card reader and send memory cards home. Matt
