God forbid someone making money in this world. Do you realize that Lucas paid for this movie and a full seasons worth of episodes right out of his own pocket? Shame on him for trying to make his money back. Oh and that Dark Knight movie, that is a huge cash grab...HUGE!
Why don't we all just by the super cheap HD DVD players now and make Hollywood jump back to HD DVD. Then we can buy all the cheap Blu-Ray players and make them jump back again. Yessss, dance Hollywood dance.
Not really worrying about it. It will be at least a year before I buy a Blu-Ray player SO I will enjoy the movies I bought on HD DVD and I will most likely keep my HD DVD player in my system. I'll switch to Blu-Ray when I'm damn good and ready.
This article is dead on and people are smart for doing this. Don't hate because someone knows a good thing when they see it. I just bought 10 HD DVD's for $50. And at a later point I will rip them onto my computer then burn them to a Blu-Ray disc.
That is such BS. This is the most obnoxious attempt to appeal to the WoW crowd and it sickens me. Wizards should prepare spells and if they run out then too bad, they should have planned better.
I'm curious. Why do you feel that wizards should prepare spells and be limited to the number they can cast (per day)? Is it because you simply don't like the "WoW crowd" and don't want WotC to appeal to them or is there another reason?
Yes, I don't like WoW. It's game system is designed to be simple so that our moms and girlfriends can play it and it doesn't belong in D&D. If they want to attract that crowd then they need to go back to the D&D/AD&D system. Make D&D the dumbed down WoW version of the PnP game and keep AD&D deep and complex. The Vancian spell casting system is a foundation of D&D and I can't stand to see them destroy it.
"No, a wizard can only perform a certain number of things a round, but they can cast as many number or different spells per combat. We don't want wizards to have to use a xBow because their spells are gone. That's boring."

So does everyone here hate HD DVD because of some orrational hatred of Microsoft? I personally like HD DVD for it's cheaper price and the lack of heavy handed tactics used to try and force us all to convert.
One of us.
One of us.
One of us.
Well for one, the fact that I had the option to upgrade to the HD DVD player makes the 360 10 times better to me than Sony trying to force their format down our throats....which is why I refuse to buy a PS3. And yes I did buy the HD DVD player add on because I wanted HD DVD to win. So what will we do now? Well Microsoft has already mentioned making a Blu-Ray add-on so I will continue buying all the really cheap HD DVD's then buy the Blu Ray add-on at some point in the future.....problem solved. When it comes down to it was all about my ability to chose what I wanted to do.

It's LucasFilm not LucasArts.

I own a 42 inch Samsung DLP and I notice a pretty big difference between DVD and Hi-Def movies.

Oh no, I am watching them. I have the Xbox HD DVD player. I figure Microsoft will come out with a Blu-Ray drive at some point in the future.

I agree with your points. Here is an article from last week that reinforces those points. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ucrr/20080225/cm_ucrr/whyhillarystumbled
Does that mean we will stop seeing those annoying Mac commercials soon?
