Cops are trained to shoot first, because they know they can always claim they felt threatened, and the legal system will back them up almost without fail.
Um, wouldn't you need to first send out the phone number you are trying to contact, and then send out the PIN kill code? Kind of like a username/password combo?
The lowest cost model S is well over $60k (and that's after tax credits). And $30-35k is not a typical family car. A Prius is around $20k. So I could buy a Prius, a backup Prius in case my first one breaks down, and still have enough money leftover to pay for gas for the next 15 years or so.
Up front costs is the most likely reason. You will have to buy and install equipment to do what you suggest. The owner of the store (if they even got around to thinking of the idea), might not want to spend that upfront money to save a little each month, and that's assuming they have the money to do it.
Even your own in-house power generation will go up over time. You still need to hire people to maintain it (they expect raises from time to time), and materials to upgrade/replace parts will probably rise over time as well.
This was done on both sides to speed up the process I guess.
Oh, well as long as there was a good reason for Pelosi to not bother reading the legislation before passing it. I'd hate to think that congress might actually take their time while passing important legislation.
As a guy who is a big Trek fan, and religiously watched TNG, DS9 (sort of), and Voyager, I can't understand how someone could LOVE Enterprise. I sat through some of the first season, and then gave up. I was bored to tears.
I actually sat through that stupid episode where they spent half the time trying to figure out what the favorite food of someone was so that they could make it for his birthday. Seriously, that was the side plot.
...Linux advocate and LinuxAutomation.org founder Kurt Forsberg...
Working as an engineer in automation, I thought, "Hey, maybe I'll check out this linuxautomation.org site!"
The entire website consists of a few paragraphs about how great it is to use open source for automation, plus it has a few links to linuxfestnorthwest.org, a link to their Facebook page, and an email link.
I think a better solutions is to have all contributions go to an independent entity that then distributes that money to the candidate specified by the donor. That way, the candidate no longer knows who has provided the money, but the donor is still helping to get their candidate elected.
Nearly everybody I know with college degrees (many like myself in engineering) have made out quite well. I am most assuredly going to encourage my daughters to go to college.
I'm not sure how you have managed to have nearly nothing saved after being an engineer for two decades. How is it possible to have NO 401k? Every single job I have worked the past 15 years has had a 401k.
I have a feeling that your current financial condition doesn't have anything to do with the fact that you have a college degree, but is some combination of poor choices/bad luck.
Good thing we didn't elect that mean ol' corporate guy, Romney, eh? Keep electing Democrats hoping that they will be different than Republicans, and don't you DARE 'waste' your vote on anything other than an (R) or a (D)!
I wonder why Braun wasn't called safe (he was standing on an unoccupied 2nd base at the time that he had successfully stolen), and Seura wasn't called out (he wasn't on any base because he got caught in a rundown while failing to steal third). It seems to be the more logical outcome of that play.
And I had no idea that you could go back to a previous base.
I keep seeing this argument of "Who pays: Owner or Manufacturer?" all the time, but I really wonder if the answer should be "Neither". If I crash my car into a tree, neither I nor the manufacturer of the car pays for the damage. My insurance does.
Perhaps if self driving cars could be show to have lower accident rates than drivers, my insurance might actually offer to cover my car for less than if I had a car that I had to drive myself.
Insurers already offer reduced rates for advanced technologies like ABS, anti-theft, air bags, etc. Couldn't a self driving car that reduces accidents be a good thing for insurance companies?
So, I should believe people that have been caught lying in public?
"We don't collect data on millions of citizens. Don't be ridiculous!"
[later] "Um, well it depends on your definition of 'data'... and 'collect'... and, uhhh, 'citizens'..."
I'm not sure how that is possible, since California law states:
The officer shall advise the person of that fact and of the person's right to refuse to take the preliminary alcohol screening test.

If I have a drunk guy on my lawn shooting random shots in the air I canâ(TM)t shoot at him. Cops can.
Really? Do you have to wait until a shot actually hits you before you can open fire?
Um, I am most certainly allowed to shot somebody if they are an immediate threat to me...
"You have the right to remain silent..." ring a bell with you?
Um, wouldn't you need to first send out the phone number you are trying to contact, and then send out the PIN kill code? Kind of like a username/password combo?
Ideas are dime a dozen.
No according to the patent attorneys in this country...

Enterprise, watched it, LOVED it,...

He spelled "wsa" correctly.
W-S-A!
I don't see the problem...

That's it.
What exactly did he 'found'?
But who qualifies as a 'candidate'?

Then how come my Amex statement clearly shows a minimum payment of $35?
...but revenue could be down because she had cut unprofitable areas of the company. Not all revenue is good.

Can you let me know the next time you are going to be at a party? Cause I want to be there to see how much fun you are.

Well, I guess the French are bound to defeat somebody eventually...
