    I've seen a lot of the same. Everyone I know has left Ubuntu.

    I became sick of the whole mess and just went to FreeBSD.

    I use fvwm2 and it works very well. Quite snappy. I have the KDE and gnome libs installed so all those apps run fine.

    How does that work for me? I live on a private drive (which is marked private) that is rather long. Google has pictures of my place showing that they ignored my privacy.

    I want something that is low power, has a nice keyboard and runs linux. Text only mode is fine as all I really want to do is run emacs.

    I think this is the thread where I have seen the biggest quantity of low id posts =o). Seems Old guys come out of their chairs to defend their lawn =oP

    I prefer to consider myself well seasoned :)

    As for NetBSD? I currently use it for servers. It's easy to configure and very stable.

    I suspect that some of it may be more than that. You can encrypt messages into plain text. If you then send out your encrypted messages to a million people then who would ever know who the message was really for?

    With all that's been going on we now get to enjoy a Police State with all the benefits. Search and seizure without a warrant, being held without cause and most of all no right to any sort of privacy in anything we do.

    I think we have quite a bit to show for pissing away our liberty. Quite a bit indeed.

    We have the right, we have the duty to tear down an oppressive government that binds us. Our founding fathers knew this. Sadly most americans don't.

    Freedom of speech is a right. A right can not be taken away.

    Rewrite the Bill Of Rights, Rewrite the Constitution. Burn them for all that it matters. Those documents are nothing but paper.

    None of those actions can take away my right to free speech.
