I do this myself. Last winter I didn't have to run the heater much at all. Just turn on a few more computers. With the price of natural gas this is cheaper.
8x4x1 form factor. 20+ hours battery life. 640x240 screen. (b/w screen, 16 shades of grey) Mostly full qwerty keyboard (yes, chicklet sized). Compact Flash slot (seperate from pcmcia). Pcmcia. Runs on 2 AAs. 256 Megs ram or better. 133mhz or better. (low cpu power to save power) Runs linux.
Nuff said. Note that since it would be a 3 volt system 5 volt pcmcia cards would drain it pretty quick. That's ok really as most of the time when I'm using a modem or NIC I'd be plugged into power anyway.
That's all I really want. If I could have that, I would be happy.
I had DirectTV for quite a while and it never went out on me unless it was snowing really badly. And then it was only due to the weight of the snow causing the dish to bend down and lose the signal. Going outside and brushing the snow off the dish fixed it right up every time.
In some of those fish-processing plants the loss of a hand is more common than you know. The working conditions these people put up with is just terrible. It's very much like the horror stories you hear about the rest of the meat packing industry.
This is very true. I live in a very small house out in the middle of nowhere and the couple computers I have heat the place up quite nicely. I almost never have to turn the heater on at all.
Back in the day when I did that the program I used logged anything that came across when it made a connection. That way I knew if the number was worth calling back and toying with.
It's amazing how little security existed back then.
From people on the street that I've talked to about this they don't ever seem to remember when the change took place, or if there was even a change. They just know we are at war with Iraq, and we have always been at war with Iraq (at least as long as their conditioned minds can remember).
We must remember that most of what we see and hear from the media and or government is more than likely propaganda.

I did this years ago, and kept running into problems with cooling. Even with a fan in there the screen became washed out after a few hours of use.
Part of this might have been due to the fact that I was using a DSTN screen.
I have a HP 320lx right now. I love it very much, but wish it could run linux. Heck, if I could just get emacs to run I'd be a happy camper.

Mod parent up!
You mean he's not immortal!?
I do this, and it works out very well.
Some of us enjoy vogon poetry :)
If it is put back in place, then the backlash will no doubt force them to take it down again.
It's just the way things go.

I doubt it.
Her webmaster is probably enjoying all the extra traffic.

Not safe for work!
I could not agree more. I've been watching spam for several years and how it's evolved. There are some things that just do not fit into the picture.

Or you could just head over to ipodbattery and get a replacement battery for half of what apple charges.
Sure you have to install it yourself, but it's not hard at all.
They do a good job at it too. I sign my name xpurple when I use my CC.
:)
Then again, it does say Reverend xpurple
You can see a scan of it, here
If I had mod points I would up this guy. This would be a perfect topic for Coast to Coast AM!

Now that is domain name squatting taken to a new level.
Oh well, it was bound to happen at some point...
How true.
