So this is because some shitty dictator was killing people, so usa should interfere? can you explain me why then they do not "fix" africa? It is much easier and cheaper to finish all these small dictatorships and send some teachers there.
Don't get me started on where us invented to be with no need.
+1 on this one. This is not about the fax qualities - it's that while hp and others create " drivers " of 600 MEGABYTES, they haven't figured out how to simply sync the computer's contacts with the damn scanner and just give you the option of sending it right from there.
Those that have it, suck hardly and no sync with anything at all.
Really, is not that difficult. But considering that they bother to create those half-gigabyte applications that are much worse even than the ones provided by the OS, one has to question their intelligence...
You just cheated here. The scanning part can be quite messy depending on scanner software, which is ALWAYS worse than the one provided by the operating system. Why?
What I fail to understand is why some scanner doesn't just sync the contacts from, say, outlook or mac's address book, google, whatever, and just show the option on their god damn screen, so you can send it directly.
But I think that is too smart for them (for the people who create those ugly applications, not for the devices)
You do realize that they are also saying goodbye to all their hardware division, don't you? The last things remaining are calculators and photo cameras...
It is actually simpler than that. Just take more spaced samples - so you let the interference noise build up - overestimate and try not to be precise to the second except when it is really close to the end (say, when it thinks its less than 25 seconds).
It is all about perception and estimation. When the OS tells me "oh, this will take around five minutes", I forget it there and go do something else. I don't care if the file actually took 3 and a half minutes AT ALL.
Instead of this, MS created that monster worth of being part of some slackware install process or some crazy kde plugin.
So that's not a problem. Microsoft phones are only seen at the mobile phone shops, and most of them with a mockup sticker instead of a live screen anyway.
At least here in europe. I'm yet to see a single windows phone in the wild.
because it is BY FAR the best handheld computer in the world. Me, as a Linux developer, would love to see an alternative. Or a working version of debian ported to it.
So far, there's not anything as good either as a mobile phone or as a handheld computer.
And yes I compile my stuff ON THE PHONE. Just because I can.
There was an old japanese couple who travelled by land all the way from china to brazil to see their family who left japan during the war. They did it in an old yamaha 70 or 90cc. The only parts they did by ship were from japan to china and panama to colombia, and some really short part in alaska (and they waited for the winter to avoid ships as much as possible). The guy was well over his eighties.
I remember reading it in some motorcycle magazine in the 80s or 90s. They didn't make the return trip, as the old man died soon after arriving.
I always did it, with heavy doses of beer and wine. Some time ago, there was a big pressure drop, and the plane went strongly down for minutes with strange noises. I have never seen the flight attendants actually getting so nervous as I saw this time, and most passengers I could see around became snow white. I just laughed and said "fuck!!!"
and they don't call both "mac os x"
You mean that every time someone stumbles upon the windows key, it will open the old interface?
1) 99% of users out there have no idea what rss is;
2) that reminds me of those push clients and active desktop.

Do you realize that it is said like that only in your language, don't you?
I think he said about c++, not c.
Sorry, but if you do not log in, we cannot account your godwin points.
Are you aware of some scanner/printer able to use it which costs about the same as a fax machine and as sturdy as one?

Even the MacBooks?
It is actually nice to see them spending money on engineers than on lawyers...
of course. My own gps is windows ce (with the occasional ce's version of the BSOD)..
Really, I'm yet to see any. I have NEVER seen one, and I am curious about it!
I travel regularly throughout germany, belgium, the netherlands, switzerland, france, andorra and spain. Have not seen ANY.
What I usually see is iPhones, and the occasional android.
So that's not a problem. Microsoft phones are only seen at the mobile phone shops, and most of them with a mockup sticker instead of a live screen anyway.

people have been asking the same to everything microsoft did after windows xp. It's the biggest WTF company in the world.
The only reason they still exist is that it seems it takes quite a beating to kill a giant elephant.

no, it's about what it can do. compare the number of ipad apps with android tablets apps.
Hey, come on, there were windows tablets for ages!!! :)
You can always edit your dns settings and direct those domains to, say, lolcats or whatever.
would care to share it with the world?
