She does mention an important aspect that the article does not take into consideration. The simple fact that mac adaptation may be confounding. I think the article implies that apples overall operating system is preferred by developers for it's feature set. This is simply an unknown since the article has no data that can be applied to the majority of "developers".
If it goes through the air, it can be tracked and located. This includes, to some extent, information that originates on the wire, but is then sent into space.
This happened to me on a $20,000 purchase from dell. They ended up sending me a free NAS and two free laptops. They also let me keep the advertised price of my purchase due to a significant delay processing the order (it was shipped then recalled). Not too shabby.
I own a g1 with debian on it. You can sign your own packages effectivly killing the OTA update. Theoretically, you should be able to downgrade your phone to RC19 since they are signed with the same key.
I stand corrected. Looking back I agree with you and the other anon post. I was mixing and mashing the java compiler with the java virtual machine as if they were the same (athough I meant the JVM in a strict sense, but after suggested research it appears I am wrong). Next time, I'll approach things from a more scientific perspective and not get worked up over an anon post. Seems like my knowledge of java is outdated. Looking at recent benchmarks, java compilers are much more efficient than I last recall. The preformance differences in the language seem negligable at this point which pretty much takes the processor completly out of the equation.
You must be a delusional bastard. I can tell because youâ(TM)re using the word "lord" in a manner that suggests you believe in it. Bytecode is the instruction set used for Java's virtual machine, jackass. No, bytecode is not used for compiled code. Wrong again. When java is run on a machine it gets translated into bytecode by the jvm then the jvm executes that instruction set. In fact, the JVM is considered a "processor architecture" on which Java bytecode (a compiled Java program) is executed. Your point is well taken and in the end is one correct factor of the overall equation; my point was that people continue to use C/C++ for ultimate power and flexibility. Such power and flexibility cannot be leveraged with limitations imposed by the JVM and furthermore, javaâ(TM)s bytecode (such as advanced memory managment). Why the hell do you think Sun sells Java based processors? Also, language choice does make a big difference for preformance critical applications on non-embedded devices. Go look at PHP vs Python benchmarks for hashing and then tell me it dosn't matter when you need a server side script to hash 3k video files.
That's because processor instruction set is essentially the same. Use a processor that takes BYTE code as its instruction set and you end up with a java platform. In the real world, most people have intel based instruction sets.
the election must have taken its toll on me i swear the article summary said "projector from Obama" not "projector from Optoma". Anyways, I'm glad to see this technology finally reach the consumer at an affordable price. Next in line, perfecting the airscreen.
Which god? Your god, his god, her god? Zeus? if its Zeus, I think we've already disproved his existence so what does that make the proabability now? If your talking about that one religion where a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree, then that is a very specific God that can be put through the scientific method and with time will turn into yet another mythologoy. Wikipedia seems to think so Christian Mythology. The funny thing is I can't find a Islam Mythology...
I have colocated servers and have setup tor on the colocated servers as an Exit Node. Then I route my regular DSL At&T connection through the tor network and specify my exit node (that way i know the exit node operator isnt spying, since I am that person). Naturally, I let anyone else interested go through my exit node for HTTP traffic only. Some people, however, use bittorrent through port 80 to defeat firewalls (mostly chinese people). If you need more info message me I can send you specific configuration files.
Bear in mind this is only a guess;) . I predict that the whole cloud thing will be put to death as soon as high-end connections are made affordable and available to the consumer. It seems like the whole "cloud" movement is a reaction to saving costs in order to utilize portibility. With services like Verizon FIOS and fiber networks being laid out here in the US, not to mention dropping storage space cost, I'm hoping that the cloud will be replaced by the "home server". Once you can access all your files instantly, fast and secure, from anywhere (accessing your home server) then it seems a bit silly to put it anywhere else beyond your control. Sure, people will complain about managing and setting up the "home server" now, but its easy to find preconfigured server distros. You can get everything you need setup in 15 minutes and there are literally 100s of preconfigured linux distros that are ready after installed. Just a thought;)
Being a Tor server operator, I get a couple copyright infringment letters and take down notices here and there...I just reference DMCA and they go away. Seems to work well.
Heres the update on the situation:
Itâ(TM)s now reported that it is not Oktar that got Blogger banned, but Digiturk, a subscription based digital TV platform that owns the rights to the live broadcasting of Turkish football league games. Apparently, Digiturk asked Blogger to take several blogs or blog entries down containing links to pirated transmissions of the live games. Blogger did nothing, Digiturk went to court and under Turkish intellectual property law, they managed to get Blogger banned completely, effectively banning millions of websites that have nothing to do with Turkish football or pirating.
Leave it to turkey to ban an entire site becuase of soccer. *sigh
Please forgive me for typos and incoherent speech, for I am drunk. Now on to power saving modes. I did notice that both at home (with my seven computers) and at my work place that the red herring effect caused by powering computers on and off during business hours is pretty much the same as leaving them on with standby mode etc. To be honest a 15 second boot time is rediculous. I mean my XP laptop boots in about 5-8 seconds...my linux box boots in ~6 seconds. Perhaps my geeky startup enhancments are to blame but I dont recall waiting 20-30 seconds for a computer boot in the last four years...I think the metrics are including windows start times as well? A bit ambiguous to say the least.
Could be a reaction to failed attempts to control client side data. By utilizing software as a service you ensure that your programming language and database is never compromised. Naturally, software as a service is ideal for many business models. I feare that the cloud computing will result in a centralization of data one day and hope the integrity of a decentralized system is maintained.
Indeed wtf. Courts should have only punished the kids for the violence part. Makes you wonder whats the dutch will do when D3 scammers trick 13 year old kids into dropping items.
How about HG (mercurial)? It offers the best of both worlds supporting excellent windows integration (TortoiseHg, Eclipse plugins, etc) and having a large subset of similar features compared to git.

I thought it was a /. dupe, but maybe in this universe, it was a discover dupe...
It'd be nice if they sued my isp, at&t, for me dos'ing them.
Ahh, cool. Thank you =)
I can't seem to understand how this is any different than applying a video\image overlay with opacity to an existing video? Can someone help me out?

You people!!!!??? You racist. lol
Perhaps its more affordible if you wait for somone to infringe on your trademark then go through dispute resolution?
