I imagine the problem is that these databases only hold collected data for a short period of time, say 30 or 90 days. The data scraped is massive, so it is constantly deleting old data to make way for more. IAA Intelligence Analyst, and I know of some imagery databases, for example, that only hold the last 30 days of imagery. If you forced them to hold all of it for years, it would mean increasing server space by orders of magnitude.

Hard to believe Jesus made an enormous explosion in some other galaxy that would have no effect here 2 million years before being born. Or maybe you're just being funny. Hard to tell sometimes.
Do you trust human drivers MORE? To be clear, we're talking about the humans that text, drink, smoke, talk, and everything but look at the road and kill over 30,000 people in the US alone every year. THOSE humans?
I find it strange that people generally exhibit good critical thinking skills when it comes to Wikipedia (fact checking, understanding sources, looking for biases), but gleefully eat up their favorite news channels without a second of thought. No source of information is free of biases or errors, but at least Wikipedia actively works to avoid them.

My understanding is that the new facility is for storage of new programs, not stable backups of existing data. I'm not an expert though.
