I think the difference is a key addendum to shade the idea. Do what you believe is right, within reason.

If your idea of what is right is to share what you believe with other with those of other/no faith, that is something which is within reason. Perhaps it might be annoying to some people, and some people might oppose that work, but it is still reasonable

If your idea of what is right is to blow something up because "God" told you to do so, that's no longer within the realm of reason. First, your deity created a conscience, perhaps it should be utilized. Second, you shouldn't do anything of the sort if your holy book emphesizes non-aggression in the first place. I'm speaking more of Christians than Muslims in this case, since I don't know much about the latter, but you get the idea.

  14. Letterboxing on Why Are We Losing Vertical Pixels? · · Score: 1

I imagine someone will point out a technical flaw with this, but it seems to me the way to make both parties happy is to provide a form of letterboxing for 4:3 resolutions. The problem with this resolution on a wide screen monitor is the aspect ratio stretches things out (besides higher resolutions not being available).. So, simply pad the space on either side. Instead of formatting the widescreen to work on standard displays, this would be like formatting the standard display to work on widescreen.

It's not even really an arms race if the weapon is password length. There'll eventually be a break point where you can't tighten the password requirements anymore. It's always very easy for a computer to generate a random gibberish string of characters and save it somewhere for future use. It's progressively more difficult to convince Joe Schmo to come up with a password X characters long with Y special characters in it as both X and/or Y increase.

The upper bound is double your estimate, because a lot of commercials are 30 seconds in length. So it'd be somewhere between 33 and 66 cents. Also, seeing as some commercials in streaming services such as Hulu are 15 seconds in length, the lower bound might go even lower. So yeah, the $2 payment is disproportional to the advertising cost.
