I don't know what I will do if it doesn't duplicate all Outlook's amazing features like
-Being slower than sh#^ starting up or closing down -Always telling me I didn't close it properly when I did, and making me sit through some shadowy scanning procedure that doesn't seem to do anything. -Slow performance when sorting -Slow performance when searching -Slow to initially render the Outlook today page -Resource pig for the simple functionality you get
How will I ever survive without something JUST LIKE OUTLOOK?
I own a Jeep. Gas mileage is pretty bad but it's paid off so I don't mind too much.
I'd like to drive a hybrid, but the premium is too high for it to make sense. I would consider trading off for a 4cyl car, but again, mine is paid off. Suppose I'll drive it until it dies.
And heck, gas would need to get a lot higher than it is for it to be worth financing another car when you factor in a monthly payment.
I don't believe Microsoft will counterattack through the legal system so much as they will have to start giving the licenses away for a much cheaper price.
A big problem is that Vista is too much of a pig to run on these lightweight machines, so they either give XP or a mobile version of windows away for nothing and further cement their lastest OS's status as a turkey or lose market share altogether.
It's hard to see a winning scenario here for them, at least until they can develop an OS that isn't so resource hungry. By then it might be too late.
And, this may be a wedge that opens gaming further on the Mac platform. The bigger the iPhone gets, the more people will be open to Macs, I would assume.
At least now people will stop trying to defend him - not because they know anything about the case, but just as some sort of metaphoric internet war against haters...
or the issue that for the $400 you spend on a wii plus this game you could pay for a gym membership for at least a year and make a lot more difference in your condition
I had the same experience. Went to a midnight showing, was pretty pumped, trailers looked good. And less than halfway through I was thinking, "What a pile of shet this is". On the way out I gave a tepid "It was ok" to someone waiting in the next line who asked if it was good. I didn't want to take a dump on their anticipation in case they had some perverse personality and would like it.
There was a pall in the theater you could sense. Everyone knew it was crap, but there was still light applause at the end. Why? Because we hoped we hadn't seen what we'd just seen. And because for some reason the franchise got credit for having been good once.
That doesn't make it Episode 1 into anything other than it was, however. A big, stupid, pointless special effects debacle.
JarJar would have said... "theesa movie suuuuucks ballce!"

they might lock you in, but at least what they lock you into isn't a flaming turd
But I thought it was Bee Eee Oh Ess? Ahh screw it, I'm shelling out $200 for vista. /sarcasm
I'm referring to those who want to do the basics - e-mail, WWW, maybe some light word processing - on the go.
you know... pretty much all of the consumer portable market... and desktop for that matter.

Who would have thought that eventually even Paul > Hans?
"Freedom of speech, freedom of the press and freedom of assembly"
Well, we're talking about the UK here, not the US.

it's refreshing to get an inside look microsoft's plans for silverlight and the internet
...exaggerate?
Put MediaDefender on it!
The stats based on guns being available to you = danger are often flawed as they include suicides to produce the desired statistical effect.
What sort of training or preparation would you recommend for that kind of a role to someone with only cursory experience with *nix?
And how do you find those positions?
The "smilin' bob" people got sued recently because apparently all their claims were a bunch of poppycock. No pun intended.
Outside is where you had to go to get video games before the internet. What is this, the 1980s?
d00d, the point is that the wii fit will magically get you in shape without you having to do anything strenuous

I still haven't got over my disappointment at the utter pile of poo that was the second Highlander film</quote>
