Sure you say thats self evident but it makes a good point about how amazing our bodies are and what a waste of such an amazing and complex creation it is to waste away your life in front of a computer screen.

However we got here, we have more than an ass a brain and two hands to type and write computer programs all day.

The effect of working out and going to TKD have had on my concentration and overall happiness is really great.

I work some insane hours but I draw the line at having at least two or three hours a day just for myself. As it is im feeling a bit crazed (one of those 80 hour weeks oh.. its only friday...) So maybe anyone who does not believe mentally exhausitng yourself for 18 hours a day should try it before saying shit like that.

I think everyone should find it in their best intrests to do some sort of phsyical excersize especially with a desk job.

If your feeling run down always and constantly drinking soda or whatever to stay awake, get high on life, it really works.

Compare like working out in the gym 3 months to drinking Dew and coffee all day for energy boost and there is no comparison. Working out has given me tons more energy for lack of a better way to say it a good way to clear my mind.

I would definately pay what TrollTech is asking for QT.

I have done MFC programming enough to know the hell it is and to just write a few simple QT apps the brevity and overall simplicity and (God forbid) design that went into QT is refreshing. I think its a snazzy library and that TrollTech people are really nice people to GPL this library. It proves more or less that they are not trying to make money on this.

As an added benefit it does give them publicity and probably more revenue, so why not CONTRIBUTE a little time to KDE ehh? I have followed KDE and its defiantely not being guided by a corporate arm that has stock holders intrests in mind, no saying Redhat is being bad, however it is doing whats best for stock holders. :)

Really truly if a project to put Linux on a PDA were to be useful beyond the "look what I can do!!", there needs to be some sort of low level graphics system for displaying to things like a palm and such.

That is a start. Then you need to make this interface useful and easy to use.. IE: you develop on a desktop and then test apps on the PDA. Maybe if you can plug a mini Keyboard into the PDA it would be a little nicer and make it more of a "pocket PC".

Im trailing off, what I mean is installing a distro like Debian, or whatever on a PDA is kind of useless aside from it being fun to do.

If.. there was a group actually serious about writing a system in Linux to make PDA's more useful and open to (programmers) then I could truly seing this as beneficial since you would then have the world of Linux at your hands.

A scaled back version of gnome for PDA's is nice (cough cough) wasnt there a group working on that, whatever happened to them??

I think some groups are moving in this direction, but I don't really see any concentration of development being done to make headway to making the PDA's useful, I just see peoplke getting their jollies by showing off what they can do :) nothing wrong with this, its fun and you can learn a lot doing stuff like this
