I got burned on that early. Probably because I was trying the Windows version which wasn't exactly stable. My linux boxes didn't make the last move so it may be a bit before I can try it again.
I'd like to see anybody record the dynamic range I can get off Reala with an electronic sensor in one exposure. Film is still alive, and the best it's ever been. It's simply a specialty market now. Plus I like the fact that I can still use cameras that were made before I was born.
As those are features I use on pretty much every image I guess I won't be using it yet. Same with a pretty large portion of anybody else who scans film.
Except that search engines sorta pride themselves on their ability to turn up relevant results and do their best to filter spam algorithmically. So in most ways the study just shows that search engines are better than they used to be.

I think the above is a fair use snip, I could be wrong. Anyway you'll notice "suicide" is only the first term they searched for. The other searches are weighted heavily toward howtos.
If you read the study itself, it's weighted almost entirely for people actually searching for ways to do the deed. Of course it mostly returns results instructing people how to do it, that's what they told the search engines to give them! This isn't science, this is stupidity!
I'm pretty sure it varies from state to state. CA does it, but I don't think CO does for example. As I explain to the occasional european there are legal differences between states because of the fact that the US is a union of states rather than a state with provinces.
Let's not forget that it would mess with the appliance delivery business. This precedent is also applied in that case where living in the suburbs can make a delivered appliance cheaper than a in-store appliance by being outside an incorporated city tax district.
Actually in my experience the first out the gate usually gets shot down. Just look at Ageia or 3dfx. The gate looks a lot more like the gate of a landing ship at Normandy than the gate at a racetrack.
BVH's need to be recalculated if the position of objects in the scene changes. This actually would make it make a lot of sense for the level to be raytraced and the characters to be rendered.
I vote for RSA of a serial number followed by "This is a real US DTV coupon in ASCII" Then anybody can verify it, and nobody can economically generate their own.
Actually that's how they're doing it. Messages with forged From addresses are being sent out and the message from Google saying the address is wrong is going to the forged From address. This is allowing spammers to bypass the restrictions that are supposed to prevent GMail users from receiving spam.
A good repository system is almost as shiny as you can get.
I'm hoping it focuses on the creepy byzantine machinations like SAC then.
Isn't rule 34 "If it exists, there is porn of it."?
Greenbacks ARE monopoly money. Ever since we went off a metal standard.
Not only that but it cuts off just as peak load arrives.

Yeah right. If they have a special version of XP for netbooks it means they can go back to plans of discontinuing all the other versions.
Well, if you shoot from orbit you can do both!

You'd think in this day and age we could build a lidar system to identify bumps to avoid.

And it sounds like plastique, another rather disruptive technology.

Unfortunately tone of voice doesn't carry well over text. But, you seem to have come to the gist of my intent anyway.
Crackshit USB modems are probably considered as an attractive option to them.

Probably runs fast at least.

A company at it's core is a group of people (even though their humanity may be open to debate) therefore who is perfectly applicable.
