    The Meander (aka Menderes) is a river in Turkey. As you might expect, it winds all over the place. But it doesn't do this out of frivolity. The path it has discovered is the most economical route to the sea.
    This is literary gold, I'll die happy when I can write something this awesome. (regardless of the caveat)

    You make an excellent point about Janet Reno, but we have to remember the timeline. Reno came first, then Ashcroft. It would have been ideal for Ashcroft to have been better at prosecuting criminals and more respectful of our civil liberties than Reno, but it turned out not to be the case. (9/11 changed everything, omg)

    So now, the hope is that whoever John Kerry replaces Ashcroft w/ will be better at what's important to us. If not, then we'll have no choice but to replace Kerry/Edwards + Whoever.

    We must not reward incompetence. To the best of my knowledge, Kerry will not be bringing Reno back... but I've been wrong about this stuff before >_<

    He's also completely incompetent, as evidenced by the way they dropped the ball in the Detroit terror case... that could be because he's more interested in drug dealers and prostitutes than terrorists, but we can't win them all.

    Of course, they have a dress code and everything. You should have no problem figuring out who's a fed on your flight.

    You're doing it wrong. The best way to teach these kids about outsourcing is:
    • Make it a mandatory course that you need to graduate. No substitutions or exemptions.
    • Make it a really really hard course w/ lots of homework and studying and tests and stuff.
    • No matter how well they do in the class, give the guy who did the absolute least work an A and give everyone else an F at the end.

    This is simply awesome, I look at some of these peices and they resemble 3d models in the sense of polygon modeling

    Kerry has reasonably well articulated stands on education, minimum wage and health care. Of course, you may not agree w/ his stances on any of those, but please don't say he "doesn't seem to stand for much of anything".

    2600 had an article on hardware keystroke recorders. Basically just something you stick between the keyboard & the pc, usually small enough to not be noticed unless you know exactly what you're looking for. No expertise required. Simple check to see whether your keyboard plugs into the computer or if there's an intermediary...
