    Constitutional amendments are a whole lot less likely to happen than justices dying off and being replaced by new justices who vote for Americans instead of voting Republican.

    There is no fast way to fix the Supreme court. The "justices" are nominated by the president and confirmed by Congress/Senate. The only way to fix the supreme court is to consistently vote and vote "not Republican". The Republican will never place anyone on the Supreme court who isn't predisposed to supporting Big Business, Big Brother and Big Religion.

    This is good to know. If Firefox is making a version for Metro, they probably have something similar ( or Canonical does ) for Unity.

    I'm still on Ubuntu 10.10. When Ubuntu 12.04 LTS comes out I'm going to upgrade. If Unity works for me it will be good to have Firefox blend in.

    If not, I will go KDE, go MINT or go Mac.

    I'm not for crowdsourcing a verdict, though I have no problem with public pressure getting Zimmerman into a courtroom for the matter to be settled there.

    Zimmerman claims his nose was broken and they were bloody. Even if EMTs cleaned him up, if he was beaten that badly, you would have seen at least cuts and bruises.......certainly bandages......and likely a mis-shapen nose.

    My facebook page is under a pseudonym and set not to be found in searches. If a potential employer runs a search on my real name, they will not find me. So, I have no problem with telling a potential employer that I deleted my FB page years ago when they began getting nasty with privacy issues.

    That is, assuming, I have other job choices and I just don't walk out of the interview at that point after politely excusing myself and explaining why.

  19. I'm sure Facebook is doing this in their own self interest. If employers made this a trend people would begin deleting their Facebook pages. Still......, it is amazing to see Facebook use its influence to help user anonymity and not the other way around.

    I've been using Linux at home for about a decade. I've thought about going Mac on again and off again.

    I like that I can run Linux on generic hardware that I can get the corner geek shop to fix cheaply should a problem arise.

    I'm worried that if I buy an iMac, when it breaks, I will need to ship it to the factory or drive off to some distant Mac store. It is all in one piece that isn't easy to open up.

    Has this been an issue for you?

    BTW, according to measuringworth.com that 6 million from 1974 would be about 21 - 22 million in 2012 money

    The java features were the wizards ( the GUIs for them ). If you do anything more than type a note you would miss their presence.

    Seriously, they should write new things, fast things, to replace that stuff.

    Agreed.

    Tracking for the sake of tracking saps a lot of joy out of life and is a waste of time unless there is a problem.

    Tracking helps bring things to your awareness in a way that adds momentum to reducing/increasing behaviors in a positive way........or giving you enough information to evaluate things fairly.

    Popularity is all about making it EASIER.....and FASTER, to produce stable, fast, and reasonable footprint applications.

    If a new language doesn't do that on its own, then it needs a platform or set of tools to make that happen.

    If a new language just lets you do the same things, but in a different way, with maybe 1 or 2 things being better then there is no motivation to learn it, use it or make things for it.
