i think 'armchair' journalists are doing more harm than good, whether for or against any particular product.
Funny, I think that people who don't read 'armchair' journalists with the requisite grain of salt are the ones doing harm. More perspectives and voices in the news is fantastic, just don't give most new sources much credence.
If you read something in five 'armchair' sources, you can start to assume that the event they are describing probably happened but never believe the details. The same goes for reputable sources, except that you can drop the required number to three.
I use automator and spotlight every day. Smart folders == teh awesome and Apple+spacebar has become my most frequently used key combination. I've got some nifty automator actions to make lots of little things easier.
Automator's good for image processing if you don't want things other than your own photos to be in iPhoto. I don't particularly want povray images and the like in my iPhoto library.
Not only do I remember Grim Fandango, but I replayed it recently.
In fact, my wife got so caught up in watching the game that I actually hooked up the pc to a tv and stereo and started over so she could see it all the way through while I played it. It's nice how movie-like that game is when you know the solutions to all the puzzles.
Gotta love the soundtrack too. I'm gonna go queue up 'Ninth Heaven'.
Sorry, but your SUV can stay offroad. I'm glad you have a good time with your friends; but you endanger the lives and safety of the cars around you when you're in traffic. How can that not bother you?
Just because you grew up in a remote town (which doesn't make you unique you know) doesn't give you the right to do as you please.
If you want to disturb the millions of people from doing what they want to do you'll need permission first. It's called society
The very point of protesting is either:
1) to disturb the millions of people who aren't protesting and (hopefully) get them thinking about a cause in a way they haven't before. 2) to disturb the government into taking action that they wouldn't otherwise, in which case getting a permit would be a very odd exercise indeed
What protesters don't realize is that they have been superseded by a more powerful force: the lobbyist.
What the hell is web 2.0 exactly? If a website uses AJAX is it part of "Web 2.0"? Does a "Web 2.0" use an updated version of the hypertext transfer protocol? Do web browsers connect at port 160? What?!
Their "camaraderie" is hackneyed, forced, trite, and just awful. It's like they want the witty sarcasm of 'The Daily Show' and the fun delivery of Alton Brown and decided that they didn't have to actually hire talented actors, but could make up for it with scripting every nuance.
As a lifelong gamer, X-Play annoys the hell out of me. This is best we can offer? Really?!
At least there's Gamespot. They're on a thin line, but they do waver slightly more towards the "not sucking" end of the spectrum.

(Sorry, I couldn't resist the pun.)
What do you care what other people think?

I'd still buy Apple hardware even if OS X were capable of running on generic boxes.
It's only familar if you've had a tooth drilled you insensitive clod!
I'd have thought that his UID would clearly put him in the "old timer" category.
I invite you to read both 'Against All Enemies' and the '9/11 Commission Report'.
Or you could keep your head in the sand and believe whatever you want to believe.

Q1: Yes, gamers.
Q2: Most certainly not.
Q3: [parsing error]
Don't confuse the visible universe with the 'actual' universe.
This is just one example of a game that is simply better on a console.
RTS = better on a pc (unless the wii does something nifty)
Action/Adventure = better on a console
But all games are dubs, the spites or polygons don't really have a language of their own.
Never have I seen a more vehement rant that was so perfectly executed and justified. Sir, I salute you.
What a trite argument. How about this:
Sorry, but your honda civic can stay in the city.
Sorry, but your SUV can stay offroad. I'm glad you have a good time with your friends; but you endanger the lives and safety of the cars around you when you're in traffic. How can that not bother you?

That is true for some modern games. Not so for others.
There's a big difference between 'Photopia' (which is what you describe) and 'Spider and Web' (which is what you say you want).
Laugh your ass off anyway. Whee!

Sure, just a 'broom closet'. Just like the entrance to the Wildfire Project.
The full text of the billboard was: Rome wasn't built in a day. If it was, we would have hired their contractor.
Not bad for having visited Boston once a few years ago, eh?
But I can't find an image either.

One can only wonder how the grocery store takes to that approach.
Thank you.
