  1. Re:It's an icebreaker, not a treatise on The Gospel According to Neo · · Score: 1

I hear a lot about Buddhism being the philosophical underpinning for Matrix -- how about the mother lode from which Budhdhism sprung (non-violently, I might add).

    http://www.hindunet.org/upanishads/

Upanishads have a lot of guru-sishya (teacher-disciple) discourse on awakening your inner spirit. It goes into great length about differing states of mind - awake, dreaming and dreamless sleep -- and once you waken from a dreamless sleep, you just see that you are in a different layer of perception etc.

Anyone have a write up which explores the Hindu/Upanishad angle of Matrix?

    Someboday say with me:

    "promotional material touted as news"
"an apology to the Matrix analyses on the web touted as having something that we have missed before"
    "sell out"

That "sell out" includes Moderators also -- I see not more than one comment that indicates outrage at the news-worthlessness of this or its lameness.

So the CEO/CIO in question are not Americans? No, really, I am curious.

There aren't droves of H1B workers either. There are droves of these people leaving -- if you are looking for droves. And when the phoenix rises, are companies going to look to hire a tech worker 6 months from the rise-D-Day (may or may not based on whether the visas come through) or a local veteran.

The H1 droves will come back only if there is sustained growth and good hands are hard to find at competitive prices.

    Interesting approach.

Who will monitor that only what is there is chosen? What about surrogates? What will the law do when a surrogate is chosen for particular qualities?

If surrogates are allowed, what defines a surrogate: a real person (not a moddie) or a modified (/gene-controlled) person or a virtual definition of gene sequence that the mother/father want?
