It is illegal however for me to put those same lights on a car I already own that didn't come with it. Cops probably wouldn't pull you over for it, but if an inspection garage in my state discovers them not to be original equipment, the inspection can fail. In fact ip sales have grown so much that back during the "ip scare" arin would sell the typical individual 256 ip's, now they only deal in 700+ ip orders per individual/company. If they're able to go from 300 to 700, obviously, theres no shortage of ip's, just a way to redistribute the wealth system since you can only buy ip's from one place. You know i've often almost came to this wrong conclusion myself, that we would eventually eat up the internet because everyones running at blazing fast speeds. However as long as the infrastructure keeps up with it, this will never happen, one just has to wonder if the isps will use this as another way to throttle and slow people down that buy into this just like they buy into our cars are destroying the planet, maybe al gore can step aboard and encourage slowing down the internet. Thus you don't go playing god with the dns system. I guess I can compare this to our current telephone system. Say your calling a company for help, but you mis-dial one of the numbers, everyone does it. What if competing companies purchased these similar numbers, pretended to be the company your calling, then redirected you to a portion of their business that serves the same industry. These isps didn't create the internet, they've only added strain to it, they act like governments within themselves where they come on, monopolize the industry, then do whatever they want because they own everything, especially verizon since they own backbone infrastructure!

Get real, I don't know how things are in SC, but common sense logic tells you not to wander onto peoples property. I still think this is wrong, do people that read slashdot always trespass on peoples property just because? How would you feel to always have people in your yard or taking pictures of your house? Once it's on google everyone can see it. I think google is wrong here, and needs to retract ANY images that homeowners do not want shown of their property. I'll change my tune here when the management of google allows all their property and pictures to be posted on streetview. Also when you put a beware of dog sign up and someone gets bit in the a** by your dog, all you have to do is say didn't you see that sign? If the person bit in the a** is blind, I don't think the courts are going to say you should of had a talking sign out front. The bottom line here is, just like everything else google does, they feel they can do whatever they want. For the most part they have, they utilize our air force bases to use as their personal airports, a task that has been requested by multiple good faith organizations and denied denied denied, money talks and google has it, with the right amount of money in this country, you can do whatever you want. No im not anti-capitalist, I do know what a respect for ones property means and google doesn't have it, the only privacy google respect is the privacy of it's management which it censors from the engines. Im also sorry to hear that SC allows salesmen to trespass on property to market items. One has to assume that SC has no property taxes, it wouldn't be fair for the residents to have to pay a property tax without the salesmen also pitching in to help maintain the property, after all if that salesman falls and breaks an ankle, who's he gonna sue?

If this is however a taxpayer funded/maintained road, then that sign has no bearing and Google had every right to photograph while on it. I do disagree with this venture by google, even on public streets. Google openly censors information (about it's management) and about other countries. They shouldn't take advantage of the laws we have here by being able to openly photograph everything when they also respect the laws of other countries that tell them to stay out. When cable companies first came to power, as was told to me by my grandfather who worked closely with a mayor of one town (when cable was just starting) the system was designed to prevent the current situation that we have where companies such as comcast, have the monopolies they do. While owning multiple businesses isn't a bad thing, you can see here how blatently Comcast disrespects the FCC.

I don't agree with alot our government does, I think we need less instead of more governmental regulations. However, as a comcast customer myself it angers me that some people eat up bandwidth the way they do, and I pay the same price they do. Regardless of what they are doing, it's the amount of usage that bothers me. Why should I pay the same price as someone that's constantly using up as much as comcast will let you, (in general 500GB/month).

Comcast is trying to appear bigger then the government, I hope the FCC nails them to the wall and comcast shuts down, let's break up these monopolies, they can't have it both ways, they can't cherry-pick which laws they want to be exempt from.

If they want to stop p2p (as comcast has denied doing all along) then they are regulating traffic. If they are going to regulate traffic, then they need to be responsible for the traffic that passes across their network. So now they should be responsible for the illegal file trading that is on their network that exists through other non-p2p means. Also every other illegal thing done through comcast should leave comcast fully responsible, you can't have it both ways comcast.
