How many hospitals would waste money on a remote surgery robot rather than hiring more doctors or better doctors
A few years ago I read an article about hospitals that bought telesurgery equipment to compete with other hospitals in the same area. So it apparently happens.
The punchline? The telesurgery equipment sits idle much of the time.
You beat me to it. The only possible reason for a 5G network to be involved with telesurgery, would be to serve as a backup to the backup wired network, which itself is a backup to the primary wired network.
I opt-out, too. The TSA guys are relaxed once they see that I know how it works, and that I'm not trying to make some political statement. I think this is a key factor.
It takes a few extra minutes for the pat-down, and that's generally not a problem for me.
...had to buy an adapter, which defeats the purpose of the smaller jack.
It defeats the purpose for the end user, but not for the device manufacturer who wanted to make a super-thin device.
And yes, I do agree that it was a bad overall situation. It seems like the manufacturer performed a disservice to the user, just to claim "our device is thinner".
TARS: I deleted the automatic airlock subroutine.
Brandt: What? Mr. Trump, do NOT open the airlock!
Cooper: Did you say "Trump"?
Brandt: Right.
Cooper: Mr. Trump, it's the big red handle on the right hand side. Pull it really fast!
If the straw-woman chick in your story is in India, then you are describing "offshoring" rather than H1B. In that case, it is very likely she was awarded the work purely because her hourly rate is lower than a worker with the same title in the U.S., without regard to differences in actual productivity.
You've got yourself a haiku:
A certain purpose
Aside from the permanent
Visual beggars
Reporter: "Mister Secretary, what about the possibility of war in the Eighth Dimension?"
Defense Secretary: "What?"
"Ship"? As in "a water-going vessel"?
Funny side-note: I read that as "Perl - First appeared 198729 years ago"
Time to go to AMD?

Yeah, but think of the size of the "hair" that it fits within.
I have the uneasy feeling that Shkreli and Bieber would get along pretty well.
Which is a different concept entirely from "Hair Fusion", As Seen On TV.
I'm going to go with the movie "They Live", by John Carpenter.
Yes. And I'm not even sure if her grandchildren are still children.
"Think of my (25 year old) grandchildren playing unsupervised!"
(No, I'm not going to check reality. This is too funny.)
Please mod this person up.
Almost there.

Paraphrasing the movie _Interstellar_:

Cooper: Did you say "Trump"?
Brandt: Right.

Ahhhg. Now my stomach is churning. That happens every time she comes up.
To be fair, many Congresscritters induce a similar effect, but the force is strong with Nancy.
More like "the devil", in this case.
"What's the point of having a policy and then not following it?"
Or a Constitution.
Oh, wait....
Please don't get bought by Activision.

Thanks for the link.
Interesting, and plausible.
Queue the corporate welfare, when the parent internal-combustion car company fails.
If you need to ask, you're not "connected".
