Depends on the type of bully. If it is the stupid dorky kind, maybe. But these days, kids aren't stupid like that. They often hide behind crowd and trip you, bag you in bathroom, poisoned your lunch, and spread rumours about you. Sure, you can standup if you know who is the bully, but it wouldn't solve a thing by beating the bully up because the bully isn't stupid enough to get into a situation where he/she will face you alone. And when you do fight back physically, the bully will make a fuss and report to authority.

There are also people who sell both their soul and bodies looking down at people who sell neither because they cover their eyes and ears instead of facing reality. But reality is only a perception, we can be babe in wickedness and be completely ignorance of the sins of the world; but we can also be cynical and live to sacrifice our life in order to make the world a better living place. If everyone is ignorance, sins will cease to be; but if everyone is cynical, we ourselves is reinforcing the social construction. Thus, as long as we strike to be a better person and live a life of no remorse, it is good enough.

However, human are not perfect, and there is a different between reality and fantasy. A mile journey starts with a single step.
