Umm... Click the home button, click settings, general, network, and then slide the 'enable 3g' slider to off... How complicated is that? I do it all the time to conserve battery life if I don't actively need the 3g connection.
Have you ever even heard of the concept of supply and demand? Why the hell would Nintendo lower the price when a Wii won't sit on the shelf for more than a few days in any retail store? This whole discussion is about the fact that Nintendo won't be able to make enough of the systems for Christmas this year, so they're all going to sell out.
In what case is rape not a felony? Care to cite that? Also, if he's tried as a minor, his records will be sealed when he turns 18 or 21 and he'll be able to vote. You're trying to make a huge political deal out of something that's really not political at all. I can't wait for the elections to be over...
If you're calling bullshit on anti-virus software slowing down the machine, you obviously haven't ever seen a machine with Norton Internet Security or anything with the McAfee name on it. Unfortunately, one of those two crappy, bloated suites is installed on most new PCs out of the box, and most consumers will just go ahead and buy whatever comes with the computer because they think the OEM would've put good software on; they don't realize that they're putting on software from whichever company paid the most to the OEM.
Also, if Safari craps on your experience, why the hell haven't you installed Firefox? I totally agree that Safari sucks, but Internet Exploder sucks, too. Get a real browser...
Dammit, you had to point this out, didn't you? Now there will be screeners for the screeners, and the poor level one screeners will have all of their sweet loot stolen by the level two screeners. You better be prepared for full cavity searches every time you fly from here on out, buddy...
"Turned himself in" doesn't necessarily mean he went in and confessed before he was caught. The police investigated the crime, figured out who committed it, and then probably called his dad to tell him his son is about to be arrested. Since his dad is a state representative, the kid probably doesn't pose much of a flight risk. It's not like the cops needed to raid his house in the middle of the night to capture him. I'm sure they just called his lawyers and worked out a time for him to go to the police station to fill out his paperwork.
Does anyone else think that it's not censorship for a parent to choose what their child watches? This is pretty much the opposite of censorship to me. The government isn't saying what should or shouldn't be available, they're trying to let parents choose what their kids can and can't see without limiting the choices of other adults...
Nah, if I were a fourth grader and I found out some other kid's dad kept rockets from blowing up, I'd be pissed. Rockets are cool, but rockets blowing up are way cooler...
Isn't even more targeted a good thing? I mean, I hate advertising, but it's a fact of life. If I have to get ads, I'd rather get ads for shit that I might be interested in.
Apple has every right to tie their software to their hardware if they choose. Imagine how much more money they would have to spend on support and development if all of a sudden OSX was expected to run on any random configuration of hardware. One of the nice things about the Mac platform is that there is a small number of machines that officially run Mac OS, and those machines all have hardware that is solid. Microsoft, on the other hand, has to support everything from $200 piece of shit systems to premium rigs. Like it or not, one of the reasons Mac systems are generally more stable than Windows systems is that Windows will run on really crappy hardware.

Maybe make a spammer eat a whole case of his Canadian Xanex?

No, the concerns aren't valid to anyone that lives outside of the US. The Duracell contest is only open to legal US residents.
Acutally, if you looked closely, the plates were the same colors and font as the Illinois plates but read "Gotham."
