Now that I've said that, I just want to say that it is the best distro I've ever used. I was into redhat back in 5.?? and switched to SuSe at version 6.1 - now that it supports my GEforce right out of the box I am almost completely satisfied. (If only linux in general supported USB better...) One small note: I think SuSe numbers their versions by the size of a full install --(6.4 GIG is actually fairly close if you install all the commercial software and demos and source code) I make it a point to buy each new version from SuSe because it is my way of contributing to their Xfree86 work - which they are very involved in...
A little late/. -- but better late than never I guess.
btw - Gnome & Enlightenment run noticably faster than in the previous version of Xfree86! woohoo!
War and physical violence... I said they were unnecessary, I never said they didn't exist. I am not a violent person - BUT I do own weapons for my protection BECAUSE of the people that are.
The whole point of my original post is simple: Warring nations can agree on treaties - compromises - etc... Why can't they agree to settle the differences in a nondestructive way? Oh well, go enlist and leave me alone.
Maybe you should cut down on your caffeine intake? The ability to solve problems intellectually is what makes us human. Anyone with a decent IQ understands that war and physical violence are unnecessary.
Really why must people die to settle wars? In this day and age do this: Get a 3rd party to be 'Ref' setup a virtual battle based on each country's current military power. Go through the virtual battle and the luser hands over his real weapons.
Oh - wait you think someone would try and hack that???
Man I loved that game - I ran a VBBS board in like 93 or 94. I bought a Key to Tradewars 2002 and had a game running for about a year. - I still have it - in fact I still have the.zip files for tw2002 somewhere... My question is will the new software company honor the key or give upgrade prices to the new linux version?
Having just installed the newest (6.3) version of SuSE on my home PC - I would like to congratulate SuSE on their excellent distro. Only 1 problem I had with YAST2 - installing LILO in the Boot Sector of the Hard Drive would crash it. (Although it is documented by a last minute errata sheet included in the box.) I had to download the latest XSVGA Server for X to support by Nvidia GEForce 256 but it has been smooth ever since. Another small complaint is that if you select ('Install Almost Everything') it seems to default X to the German Language? There is no Spoon.
There are several programs to convert Mp3 back into Wav which then can be burnt to a CDR -- If the File is at encoded at 128k (Which on my.mp3.com they have 2 settings 64k and 128k I believe) then that is CD Quality - It will sound identical to the CD when listened to with the human ear.
I'm just glad that there is a linux version now - I only run windows at work and I've been bringing my CD's in a few at a time to 'beem' them -- now I can do it from home and listen to the MP3's at work! I hope this site does not get shutdown...
Stranger in a Strange Land is one of the best books I have ever read - But different people get different things from it. I am not a religious person - so I took it one way - but a church going person would probably get an entirely different message from it.
BTW - Have you read the newer (uncut) release of the book or the first (extremely cut) release? I have read both and prefer the uncut version myself.
check out www.colorcases.com with an s... Slightly different spelling but has what looks to be a good selection. Also looks like an online ordering system.

Unfortunately I bought a couple of the older PIII 500 before the coppermine - in the Slot1 style. They both have been overclocked to 560mhz but I can't get them to post at anything higher - the next FSB setting on my particular MB is 124mhz I think. I look forward to getting one of these PIII500E's that can handle 133mhz+ FSB with a multiplier of 5 - looks like a good bargain for the money.

What's even funnier is that the dates that are wrong are for Windows 2000 books...
problem is all the .gov and .mil sites are going to be shutdown for the duration - correct?
1 word - Money - you can save money and get a faster system by overclocking.
