The fact is their business models suck that's why they're doing it. They're selling their hardware at a loss to a limited group who often have no qualms about pirating software while at the same time the only way they can improve their games is boost the graphics and therefore cost making harder to make money and more likely that people will pirate.

Nintendo on the other is making ass loads of money with profits on everything, hardware included, that they sell and they are reaching a wider market.

I don't think they want money. Their wages were increased more than once because it wasn't working. More money or not doesn't matter when you're working an ass load of hours and are simply burnt out. Rather than pay more money why couldn't Foxconn cuts hours?

Their wages are peanuts and that shows by the fact Foxconn was willing to nearly double them. Their wages may be decent now but again for ages and sleeping at your post isn't healthy and needs to be rectified. Foxconn will just move the factory elsewhere, pay the same wage and enslave some new people until they get upset.

I think something in Windows or Mozilla (in the case of Firefox) is causing it. My work machine ended up, without my intervention set to Bing as the search engine. I put it back and added Bing to my hosts file. Mysteriously Bing got removed from my hosts file but at least my search selection (Google) didn't go back to Bing again. This then happened on my home machine and it has happened to everyone else at work whether they use IE or Firefox.

The thing is most people end up typing Google's URL in or seraching for Google through Bing. So despite the fact they are too stupid to put it back they're still using Google.

I think everyone who has been told they won, without cheating, definitely does deserve to win a lawsuit against them. Casinos are heavily rigged against your favour to begin with and they make shit loads of money off of people. If they're going to have broken equipment on the floor they should lose out. Otherwise why bother maintaining any of it. Just let people use it and when it's broken claim it's broken and don't pay out.

Odds are they were too tight to keep the machine in top form or bought something that was broken. Either way the odds of this happening are exceptionally low. Just pay out and don't put the machine back on the floor if they're worried about a defect.
