I can't comment on china but years if no job looks worse than having a job in most places. You can explain the wrong job by saying you needed money just being jobless makes you look like you're lazy and maybe think too much of yourself.
They don't but the annoyance is more to do with corporations get to use things like free trade and open movemonet to their benefit but your average person doesn't. That's unbalanced and if you want everyone to believe those are good things then surely we should get to use them to our benefit too.
If windows phone can get access to those things then surely samsung can too even if it means developing their own apps or pointing people towards the web versions which actually work pretty well. That and given how little it seems Android people use the internet compared to iphone users I suspect that's not a huge loss.
Samsung is the top Android seller. They could spank them but then maybe Samsung will say fine and go off and do their own thing and take a lot of people with them and cut Google out.
Surely Amazon would be happy to take their spot. In all honesty though I think it would help to see someone compete against Google in Android. I don't think Google is doing enough to protect Android. The biggest issue for me is the lack of updates and it's not even consistent so if you want to switch android phones or mobile providers you can't say that you can at least guarantee two updates.
They're free to fork it if they want. If google doesn't like it then tough. They can think back to the time they pissed off oracle and the Linux kernel people. Besides that's what happens when you flood the market with a bunch of nearly identical cheap phones. Hardware people will need to stand out in some way and unlike the iPhone most of them have shit margins and won't have a problem doing what they think they can do to protect their position
Google only wants to advertise the data the governments want to take people's eyes off how much data Google is collecting on people. At least governments are some what accountable to us.

Get a decent phone and it doesn't matter because it won't kill the battery. I leave wifi on because I use it so much (even the bus has it) and I don't care if a store tracks me. Given all the other ways they can and do monitor you with that's the best one, imo.
The entertainment division is a big money loser. The xbox is the pride of that department and it's in third place. It only really does well in the US and the UK meaning it won't take much for any new xbox to be a total failure by no doing well in the US. If this were to be the best generation for the xbox then that's awful because it's not been *that* good considering it had the best price/power ratio and a year lead and still blown away by the wii and eventually taken over by the PS3.
So if my phone is stolen someone has access to all my stuff and if my battery dies or the phone breaks then I'm locked out of everything until it's fixed. It'd just make my phone a more attractive item to criminals and the government and if either of them take then again I have access to nothing. I realise google wants to create a real dependency to their phones but it's a stupid idea. I'd even go as far as saying the US government kindly asked for them to push this crap to make their life easier.
I have to agree that Sourceforge was looking really poor for awhile. The same ancient look with more and more ads was really bad. I think they are improve. Admittedly pretty slowly and there is some legacy stuff that's in a questionable state (like the unsupposed API) but at least they're realising they have competition now.
If you want to believe that then go ahead. I don't try to stop people from having their own opinion and my opinion is the site isn't that fussed about being helpful to those who are more concerned about code than their image. I think their changes to profile pages pretty much prove that. Their fanbase shows it too. In their mind nothing else exists and in reality it's not even the biggest site in their market.
Github offers the least options, has had numerous publicised security issues and seems more concerned with being like facebook than something for real programmers.
Sorry but I'll stick with bitbucket and if I have to switch I'll take sourceforge or one of the many other sites that offer what Github offers minus the attraction of fauxgrammers and brogrammers.
Placing everything on the Internet is dumb. I just can't see the Remote Desktop working consistently enough to warrant even thinking about purchasing it. I'll stick with my real mac and real thinkpad. I can at least use them when away from the net.
Gun crime has been going down already and some of the places with the worst crime have the strictest laws. To be honest they need to tackle mental illness before restricting guns but that would require good healthcare programs and better checks on people with no immediate results for the people who hate guns or fear everything.

No, it should be the top thing. It doesn't say that a lot of people die. Say there is only 3 deaths in that age group. If two are suicide then suicide would be the top cause of death. The further suicide is down the list then that means people in that age group are probably having more health problems. Where as if the top cause is something they choose then that means that age group is relatively safe and only die when they choose to end it.
Do you know why it's so high in that age group? Because you're healthy and likely won't die unless you take your life. It's not that hard to figure out.
