    @MichaelSmith, I guess that would be a "no". But what does "copying the brain" have anything to do with anything?

    However, training the brain and using an eeg apparently allows you to reconstruct images of what the person is thinking/remembering, as seen in a recent episode of House.

    If I recall correctly the technique was discussed on slashdot recently, though I couldn't find the article.

    Ok Mr. Guy-Who-Trusts-The-Government, why did we invade these countries? Nobody I know has any clue. A lot of people made a lot of money because of 9/11. They had the motive and the means to pull it off. You also notice that no "Terrorist" organizations claimed responsibility for 9/11 immediately after it happened? Sure smarty, there was nothing fishy about 9/11.

    Plenty of times I've had clients tell me, "Oh, I've already spent $200 for geeksquad to fix my computer, and I don't want to spend anymore on this one."

    Geeksquad is way overpriced.

    Just last week I was in my phone companies retail outlet where miraculously geeksquad is allowed to have a little booth. They told some poor old lady it would be a minimum of $350 to "recover" the data from her broken hard drive. Really? $350 for pressing "scan" on some file recovery tool? That's half the price of sending the thing to a clean room specialist.

    Supply and demand will quickly take care of that. 12 year-olds sit around and play for 10 hours a day, but they aren't doing $500 worth of actual work per week. Otherwise, I would quit my job as fish-asshole-cleaner right now and just play videogames all day.

    I saw one of these sound weapons mounted on a black police vehicle here in my small hometown of 40,000 people. The vehicle was like an armored military APC and the large circular device was mounted on a rotating turret on top. The vehicle had wheels and was driving down the street one day.

    Well, there won't be any riots in my town... but if there is, the new federal building, I've been told had three floors underground of holding cells.
