  1. Battery life has kinda gone away on recent models though in a race to be as thin as possible.

  2. Discontinued on Apple Says That All New Apps Must Support the iPhone X Screen (9to5mac.com) · · Score: 1

Hasn't Apple quit making the iPhone X because it didn't sell? And only now they're telling App Developers that they must support a discontinued device?

Ryzens incorporate most of their chipset on the die. Hes not 100% correct, there still are some functions being done on the motherboard though.

  4. Aren't m3's terrible CPUs? This looks like a complete ripoff when you can buy similarly spec'd laptops for less than 500.

  5. You're thinking of Zen2, which is supposed to be 7nm. Zen+ is whats coming next, it's a refresh of their current 12nm chips.

They're already, I believe at over 5,000 confirmed dead, with many more still considered missing. Certainly, it's horrible, but imagine if this had occurred off the coast of a third world country. On the subject of radiation, doesn't Japan (at least, certain sections of it.) already have a heightened occurrence of caner due to the Nuclear bombing during WWII? I doubt the minute amounts of radiation that have currently been observed will have any noticeable effect, especially with how quickly they evacuated the area.

The only ones who seem to be panicking are western media. I saw a comment from a Japanese man accusing BBC News of attempting to incite a panic.

Absolute garbage. Big guns mean nothing when faced with a Guerrilla threat. Why do you think Vietnam/Iraq became such nightmares? If it was a simple matter of "Our Guns are Bigger" then there would be no insurgency.

So, Having to spend more money is going to get them out of the hole faster? They're still not going to be able to afford healthcare, the only thing thats changed is that now they must pay for it.

  14. Experiments on Now Linux Can Get Viruses, Via Wine · · Score: 4, Informative

I work as a sysadmin at a company making a slow switchover to Linux, and I've experimented with this a bit. You can greatly, greatly limit the damage any virus can cause through wine by unmapping it's Z drive from the wine configuration menu. By default, wine maps / to Z. I can see why they did this, (wine can only run applications within a mapped drive) but it likely needs to be undone across the board. The best alternative would be to create a unhidden wine folder in the user's home directory and map that in wine. If Z is left mapped to /, then a windows virus can run rampant all throughout your system.

Lionhead would be able to release good quality games without anyone complaining about missing features if someone would just shove a sock in Peter's Mouth. He's my favorite game developer of all time largely because he has such great ideas, he just can't help but mouth off about them and that's how people end up disappointed. Irregardless, I enjoyed the first and am looking forward to this game, having completely avoided Peter's ramblings.

The only way I've found to really get rid of this is to disable the connection, a hassle for whenever I try and go anywhere.
