I'm flemish, 'performant' may not be used often in the Nederlands, it is the word we use in Belgium. Living together with a french population tends to have it's influences.
When I walk round the shops and hear parents shouting at their pre-teens, calling them "little shits", saying things like "fucking get here" etc etc - I wonder what sort of example they are setting to the next generation.
You think cursing is bad parenting? Try abusing or even worse...neglecting.
Do you doubt for a second that the government can do a better job of parenting than most of the parents?
Than most parents? YES! Most parents are still well capable of educating their children on a personal level. Children with a problematic education have worse problems than their parents handing them Mortal Combat. But rather then spending time on the real problem, the government is yet again fighting symptoms with no regard for the ones who do no harm.
Amen! All my stuff is backed up and stuffed in boxes in the attic (just in case somebody wants to see if everything is legit). Other reasons: no cd's or DVD's in the wrong cover, no wall full of CD's/DVD's and a search function on my computer.
When I'm visiting the seaside I always go to the same café to check my emails. At the bottom of the bill there's a code which gives me about half an hour of free wifi (depending on how fast they bring me the drinks)
True, it is important to know how the communication between the chip and the PC was made. I'm guessing here, but I think my dad's pacemaker isn't that easily accessable... If it is, or in the future will be, the communication port should -logically- be protected. But for now, I think my dad should fear EMFs more.
That, in fact is not the problem. The e-bikes perform quite well on steep climbs and recharge a bit on the way down. The test has been done on the Mont Ventoux without problems. I do have concerns on how long it takes for the battery to lose it's full power capability. Six months? A year, maybe? And what will be the price of a new battery?
When I was 7 years old I got a book -with pictures!- from my parents explaining about sex since my sister was on her way and I had a lot of questions. Except for being a regular reader of slashdot I turned out just fine...
In any car, the brakes must be strong enough to counter the engine, otherwise they are not street legal. (look up 'car mechanics', you might learn something). Better to overheat your brakes than to crash.
The researchers theorize the correlation comes from the way candy is given rather than the candy itself. Candy frequently given as a short-term reward can encourage impulsive behavior, which can more likely lead to violence
So bad parenting is the cause of criminal behaviour? Who would have thought...
At the risk of being modded redundant I'll repeat: If the friction of the plate is less than the friction of the normal surface the endresult might still be "green"
just a thought but even if de plate is on the same level as the surrounding surface, then the loss of energy could be regained by lowering the amount af friction of the surface, a regular surface must provide grip for turning and braking, if you install smooth plates where these actions aren't necessary it makes sense...
this would be funny if not for the more than 50% who actually think this way. The minister of defence in Belgium gave us the "you're either with us or you're with the terrorists" speech as a reply on a valid question asked by a senator 2 months ago and there was no outrage what so ever over this... this is when it hit me that the world is changing rapidly and not for the better.
sorry, no goverment conspiricy here but only corporate routing. To ease the central server, communications are directly send to the nearest local server, in your example ebay.fr and sometimes foreign demands get a lower priority which then causes timeouts. It's impossible to avoid a services internet when your looking for... corporate services
As an ex military aircraft specialist I was involved in test on the subject, in a small cockpit the interference of instruments with sensors within the cockpit could be quite substantial, but in a Boeing nowadays the cabin and cockpit are completely ceiled off and the sensors are normally well placed on the outskirts of the fuselage, not to mention that losing height is only due to weather condition or elevator failure, the computer steering the autopilot is no more likely to give false results as your computer when an electronic device is used
this is wrong on so many levels. I know it's inappropriate to say out loud, but the studies have been made several times in the past an his assumptions are true, ethically wrong or not...And offcourse persons are born with different IQ's but you can, through braintraining, achieve better results.
But did the comment claim that we should start killing off "stupid people", I think not... So bringing up WW2 mass killing is way out there
"The winner called me up, told me to piss up a rope, and left me negative feedback because he said he knows I can't do anything about it."
Why are you complaining...it was a bad sell, hence the negative feedback. Try to see this from the buyers point of view, but still... with 177 good and 1 bad review most people will still buy items from you
On subject, I've been on Ebay since 1998. I understand that strict rules are necessary on such a huge market but I've left ship a long time ago because I love the simplicity of smaller sites

Just to mention. I used to be a jet mechanic. At 100% throttle the tires of an F-16 have some problems but the brakes will hold.
