    Mars One is obviously not legitimate, and SpaceX is not currently funding missions to Mars just thinking about the future.

    Obamacare has not made insurance more affordable, not even for "low paid working stiffs".

    It certainly has. I had to drop my catastrophic-only insurance coverage around 2008 because it was just too expensive even for the limited coverage. Now with the medicaid expansion I've got full socialized medicine.

    At least in California, I believe you're legally required to list any needed maintenance before signing any sales paperwork whether they ask or not.

    Even 10 years ago, Ubuntu wasn't the easiest to install or use. MEPIS was better on those criteria, but was a one man project without any marketing money.

    Us less-communicative, non-rich people pay per text on pay as you go plans to save money. At 10 cents a text/minute, my bill works out to $5-$10 per month.

    In the worst case the driverless car has to pull to the side, stop and wait. In a better case, the police broadcast a signal which tells it to override normal rules and turn around.

    Poverty in modern America means that you're skipping behind in health maintenance, and you're not saving for retirement because the alternative is that you and your kids don't eat. And you're more likely to either not have health insurance, or have a plan which fail you when you need it most.

    Actually, poor people in America now have decent government health insurance provided for free. It's the middle class who have to pay for private coverage.

    If you want to see how peaceful an American is, it's easier: just burn their flag and most of them want to throw you in jail. Or become an abortion doctor (safer in Tunisia).
