If trains become a popular mode of medium to long distance travel again, It won't take long for politicians to realize the "security risks" and promptly order Homeland Security to do orifice checks of every passenger boarding a train.

Democrats and Republicans both know full well that no matter how badly they fuck things up, they'll be back on top in 4 to 8 years.
Their real fear is third parties. Qhy else do you think they make it a monumental task just to get on the ballot? Do Republicans and Democrats have to collect signatures every election year?
Does terrorism need to be solved? Of all the causes of death in the world, terrorism is pretty low on the totem pole. And when you look at the cost of fighting different causes of death, terrorism is way overblown.
How many people have died in the US due to terrorism compared to what we've spent on it?
How many people have died due to heart disease and cancer compared to what we've spent on them?

If Libertarians truly believed what they did due to greed, then they'd be 100% for the continuance of the drug war just as the Republicans and Democrats are. The greedy, profitable option would be to support the positions which would get them into power so they could peddle influence. Instead they take the principled approach and maintain their status as just another fringe party.

Ctrl+Alt+N = Notepad
Ctrl+Shift+Alt+D = Command prompt
My left hand is always on the keyboard anyway (and my right is on the mouse, you pervs) so those keyboard combos are far faster than saying the words.
