Whatever happened to the keyboard on a glove? I don't remember the last time I saw it (At least 3 years ago), but it seemed like a cool idea at the time. Better than this at least.
The principle was that you wear a special glove with sensors or buttons in the fingers, and there's a special hand motion for each character. The preliminary model let someone get up to about 200 wpm or so.
It seems good, but I'm not sure why it folded...maybe someone else knows?
This is a really weird idea, but what if the genome was translated into binary and compiled? There are two base pairs, (AT and GC, for those who didn't pay attention in biology), and binary has 0s and 1s.
If the AT pairs were translated into 1s and the GCs into 0s, and vice versa, we might get some really interesting stuff, or a blue screen (hmm...mayble linux would be better for compiling).
Of course, this same philosophy can be translated into organic computing in the same manner, and genetic code can store data.
If somebody wins a nobel prize for this, remember it was my idea!
I think that if Tarantino is filming this one, he should do it like he did with Star Wars. I don't know what any of you guys look like, but I bet it would be cooler with action figures as all the other characters. Maybe Disco Lando could make a cameo too.
Weighs 3.5 ounces...just under 1/3 of a pound! I don't know about all of you, but where I live a pound is 16 oz. That makes 3.5 oz just under 1/4 pound, not 1/3 of a pound.
I may just not get this, but it seems that Violanti was not clear about wether or not it was illegal to make these things for personal use. Or maybe selling plans isn't illegal. I'm probably wrong on this one, but if plans for such a device aren't illegal, then Ramsey could probably make some more money on this one.
2000 was anticlimactic. I was hoping that something would happen, even if the power just flickered. Someone should have just flicked the power off in New York for a couple seconds as a joke (OK, so it might have caused mass panic for a couple seconds, but it would be pretty funny). The real question is will 2000 bring any change in the worldwide mindset, or will we just stay the same with the collective mind in the gutter?
Actually, since this was created in 1610, it could theoretically apply to the U.S. as well, as it was barely even a colony back in those days.

Any suggestions on which is best? Or should I vote for something else?
Is this the FP also?

Anybody else notice how both runners up are named Daniel? I'm not going to go into the possible implications, but...
