Has anyone used Vonage? My office is getting it soon and wanted to know what people who are currently using it have to say.
Hellloooo That's What XML is supposed to do
on
Office 2003 and XML

Apparently, all formatting and presentation information is removed from the XML.
One of the main reasons to use XML is that it allows you to separate content from presentation For the presentation you should use a style sheet (XSL not CSS.)
I didn't say that you shouldn't be allowed to own guns, but I certainly hope that in the US at least you should never feel that you NEED to own a gun. I've lived in the "bad" parts of cities (Milwaukee, Chicago and Washington DC) and never felt that my life was in danger. Although it is a paradox I think that if you want to own a gun you probably don't need one.
I've never shot a gun and I hope I never have to, because if I used a gun properly I'd end up killing someone which is something I REALLY don't want to do.
What's to prevent someone from buying a gun in another state? And it does nothing for preventing gun crime. All it does is maybe prevent kids from finding their parents' guns and killing themselves, and the solution to THAT is responsible, diligent parenting.
Seeing that if you have a gun in your house you are more likely to kill a family member than a criminal it is a start. Plus it will atleast help with the natural curiosity that kids have about the 'forbidden' items in the house
Yeah, I'm sure the childless, single people with no responsibilities will chime in with suggestions about better managing finances... but you folks are obviously more readily able to absorb unforseeable hits on your pocketbook because you aren't paying for daycare. health insurance, etc. So what if you have to buy 20 less lattes this month and can't afford that new masturbatory turbo video card. Oh, my bleeding heart...
Just because YOU and partner, made the choice to have children is not a reasonable justification for the lack of fiscal responsibility. Perhaps instead of me buying twenty less lattes this month you should of had the fore sight to learn about birth control.
It also insenses me that you have the nerve to make it seem like companies favor childless, single people. I've received many an e-mail from my employers about Halloween parties for children of employees or Santa visiting, those dollars spent could go to my salary or a nice party for the "Adults"
As far as being able to absorb unforseeable hit to the pocket book. I'm sure that "S/he has a family to support" has influenced many a layoff.
My friend had a great idea. You buy a white sweat suit and some black pipecleaners. You then put all of the pipe cleaners poking outwards from the sweat suit and you look like a used Biore Strip
Another great costume is priest with a little boy in a cowboy suit on his back.
I was a Sprint customer for several years, but their coverage didn't reach my new house* I switched to T-mobile and the Sony/Ericsson T68m, the phone has PDA functionaliy, with POP mail access, color screen, WAP, BlueTooth, IRDA I haven't looked back! Once the T68i firmware upgrade is ready in the US, IMAP mail will work as well, plus the phone is smallest and lighest I've use. Battery life is good as well I only have to plug it in every couple of days.
*I can now make calls from the front of my house where with sprint I had to walk at least a block away. I live 10 mins from AOL an MCI headquaters, but still can't high speed access please tell Tauzin and Dengel to blow me
It wasn't meant to be a troll, its just that most of the people I've talked to over the last couple years have been moving away from Redhat and I could only think of one person I know who was running it now. But from the replies it seems like maybe I just have a biased sample.
I haven't seen a Redhat install for atleast 3 years, everyone is using Debian (servers), Mandrake* (newbies) and Gentoo (hardcore) not to mention the *BSD converts
On NPR today I heard it mentioned that the US has a larger percentage of its population in prisons than any other country and the number is growing every day.
I agree we should keep America safe the question is from who?
They're trying to build a prison
(for you and me to live in)
Prison Song
Ask questions about problems you've run into while working with the lang but not nessecarily related related to the syntax or structure of the lang (ie classpath problems with Java or connection errors with databases)
Most of these are pretty easy to setup a test for on your computer which you should have them use to trouble shoot during the interview.
The other thing you should do is check with their past managers. Make sure that they've actually worked where they said they did and they did what they've said they've done.
There has been a lot of talk in setting up similar systems (wired and wireless) in Northern Virginia* one of the topics that always comes up during the discussions is "How do you handle issues like people using the line to hack other systems or spamming or sending threats or (insert bad thing here) ?"
*Despite the fact that I live 10 minutes from WorldCom and AOL headquaters my ONLY choices for broadband are IDSL (which I chose) or a T1 (which I'm willing to pay for on my own)!
First off there is usually a clause that states one bad clause will NOT nullify the whole contract.
Secondly, people regulary enter in contracts that put restrictions on free speach. The first one that comes to mind is non-disclosure agreements with employers and clients. These clearly limit what you are allow to say and with whom you are allowed to say it. Addtionally Oracle has had a similar clause that ships with thier DB for years, have you ever seen a _published_ real world comparision of Oracle vs any other DB?
When I'd just finished college I interviewed with Wells Fargo and I assure their security was much tighter. I was pretty impressed that the revolving doors required badges and if two people tried to go through at once it would stop the door and rotate it backwards so you couldn't get in.
I doesn't support them properly if you go to http://www.spankyourface.com/ and look at the logos in IE you will notice that the backgrounds are not transparent. Now look at them using Mozilla and you will see that they are properly rendered.
almost a whole day without mention of the SCO case
ff33ssr (i've checked google and dns no one has taken that name yet and it has the added bonus of not being pronouncable)

Is because they have the money and power to lobby lawmakers.
Great when you go to UofF you not only get a worthless degree you also get a worthless computer.
If you've actually read the article then you aren't follow slashdot protocol.
The W3C DOES NOT create standards, they make recommendations. And yes there is a big difference.

there already are some Linux watches move about 1/2 way down the page.
Which AOL building have you been too? I've been to the headquarters in Dulles, VA a couple of times and didn't see anything like this.
