    a good example in my area is the zebra muscle. came into the great lakes via the st. lawrance seaway and is not working its way inland via people bringing their boats inland from lake michgain.

    gunlake is starting to have a major problem with them.

    first of all. there have been no life bearing planets found as of yet. NON ZIPPO. and we don't have the ability to detect smaller planets right now. that does not mean they aren't there.

    oh it wasn't ment to ridicule you in anyway. i just have a love for speakers. please don't take offense to it.

    and yes speakers are power hungrey devices. the average computer utilizes how much of its power supply's capable energy output? i have one sub that requires at least 300 watts to get to its maximum excursion. and there are some real beasts on the market that will take 1000 watts and beg for more.

    driving that magnet back and forth takes a bit of effort.

    the magnet is stationary it doesn't move. the voice coil(which is hooked directly to the cone) is what makes a speaker move. when electricity passes threw wire it emits a magnetic field when the ac signal that is sound goes threw it it does the same thing and since the voice coil is surrounded by a magnet the speaker moves.

    exactly this is especialy true in car audio where they are not only exposed to normal em fields in the air but additional ones from the cars electronics and generating systems.

    same reason for using twisted pair cabling in networks. to keep noise and interferance to a minimum

    Sounds to me that gracenote is upset that somebody is using a competeing product. IF they do happen to go threw with this case and if gracenote wins. It should be a slap in the face to lawmakers to realy look closely at the DMCA. if it can be used to stiffle competition by either legal means, or threat of legal action something needs to change.

    they wouldn't be able to use a ram-jet to get up to mach 3 without a rocket or something. a ramjet can't creat static thrust it is dependent on forward motion to creat thrust.

    Incorrect. This site has to comply with the law. Whether or not you agree with the law is unimportant incorrect. If the citizens of the united states don't agree with a law it is their duty to pressure the represenitives to oppose the laws or rework them.
