I disagree, yes perl can be hard to follow
sometimes, but the same is true of any language.
I for one find perl easy to use and code
in. its easy for me to look at other peoples code
and see why they set up sub routine A. instead of
sub B. but show me a chunk of C or java and I get
confused. Saying a language sucks because you
have a problem with it is pointless.
    Use whatever works for you.

I'm surprised that Microsoft even have a share in the server market. The company I work for is pretty much 50% as/400 39% RH linux and the rest is nt.(which is slowly being moved over to linux as well) my experiance is proof enough for me that NT should never be used for anything mission critical.

Just because Linux can do something doesn't mean that it should. Tivo is the prefect example of a set-top appliance. whats next is somebody going to register the word name? or how about life? i suppose the pope will want to own God. this just sickens me. If something doesn't change real soon then the web will die. The web can't funtion with big business dictating what can be said/used/printed/ and the small guys can't afford to pay companies like this for use of a word/name THAT SHOULD BE IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN.

going up against the source of the argument is worthless, we need to have a stern talking to to the people that allow this to happen.. big brother needs to stop supporting crap like this
